Abstract:
A device for filtering ballast water which performs filtering by installing a filter element having a conical shape in a concentric circle direction inside the device for filtering ballast water that accommodates a filter portion, and introducing ballast water from a lower end of the device for filtering and passing same through the filter element inside the device for filtering, and for discharging backwash water containing foreign substances that are inside a filter by way of differential pressure, which is created by a driving portion communicating with a filter element by rotating a suction portion that is located on a lower end of the device for filtering. Particularly, the present invention relates to a high-efficiency candle-type device for filtering ballast water having a high-density filter structure, wherein the driving portion is positioned on a lower portion of a housing so that more filter elements can be accommodated inside the housing.

Abstract:
A filter for applications such as a lube filter for a large medium speed diesel engine application lube system is provided in which the open end cap carries three different seals including two radial seals that seal radially against a stem pipe in an axial abutment face and a seal gasket that seals against a mounting face of the housing. One of the radial seals is more reliable than the other while the other of the radial seals acts as a redundant backup and safety in the event that there is an improper installation or damage to the other seal as a result thereof.
Abstract:
A Reactor (1) for solid phase synthesis comprises a vessel (2), a plurality of filters (3) arranged in the vessel (2) and a plurality of filtrate outlets (4) for evacuating the filtrate out of the filters (3). Each filter (3) is connected to one filtrate outlet (4). The reactor (1) comprises means (3, 4) for delivering a gas into the vessel (2) in a region of the vessel (2) near to the bottom (24) of the vessel (2) and beside the filters (3).
Abstract:
A removable filter for separating and filtering slurry liquid from solid particles includes one or more filter sections connected by a filtrate conduit. Each section comprises a plurality of vertical, hollow, sintered metal filter elements horizontally arranged across a manifold connected to a hollow filtrate conduit. The sections are vertically stacked and connected by the conduit(s) to form the filter which is removably secured in the slurry by means which permit it to be removed vertically up and out of the top of the reactor. This filter has a high surface area to volume ratio and is useful for removing the liquid hydrocarbon products from a slurry hydrocarbon synthesis reactor and can easily be replaced without having to drain out the slurry.

Abstract:
A multi-stage filter, wherein the first stage of filtration comprises a coarse filter to remove the larger impurities. The second stage will remove the finer impurities from the liquid (oil) that have passed through the first stage (coarse filter.) The first and second stage filter shall reside within a single housing. The housing will have both an inlet port for receiving the unfiltered fluid (oil) and an discharge port for passing the filtered fluid (oil) back into the system. The first stage, or coarse filter element has an opening adjacent the inlet, such that fluid entering through the inlet will first pass through the coarse filter element.
Abstract:
A multiround filter housing apparatus, cleaning system and method are provided. A filter housing having an integrated base that includes an integral cartridge plate, a plurality of cartridge filter bores, an inlet manifold and an outlet manifold is presented. The upper face of the integral cartridge plate is recessed to facilitate drainage of product and cleaning media. The lower portions of the cartridge filter bores are connected to the outlet port by additional sloped bores, thereby eliminating the need for a collection chamber. A spray device assembly is provided to facilitate a complete nullClean-in-Placenull system in conjunction with the filter housing of the present invention.
Abstract:
Reaction vessels suitable for solid phase polymer synthesis generally comprise: a housing defining a chamber for containing a resin, said housing having an operable inlet port and an operable outlet port in fluid communication with said chamber; and an elongate resin filter having an interior bore, and adapted to enable filtered fluid flow from an exterior inlet surface thereof into the filter interior bore, said filter being disposed in said chamber and having an outlet connection fluidly coupling said filter interior bore to the housing outlet port such that fluid flowing through the housing inlet port into the chamber passes through the filter inlet surface, into the filter interior bore and out the housing outlet port.
Abstract:
The prefilter assembly is provided with a central cavity in which a plurality of tubular porous tubular elements are provided with the remaining space being filled by a mass of shattered metal particles. During filtration, the shattered metal particles eliminate dead space within the filter while also filtering out micro gels which may be in the polymeric material. The shattered metal particles also reduce the possibility of gel formation due to cross-linking of the polymer mass therethrough.
