    Abstract: With a pneumatic tire not mounted on a rim, in a meridian cross-section a first line is parallel with an innermost bottom side of a bead core in a radial direction and passes through an outermost projection of the bead core in a lateral direction, a second line is orthogonal with the first line at the outermost projection, a third line is orthogonal with the first line and passes through an intersection of a rim cushion rubber, a distance between the second and third lines is 2.0 to 4.0 mm, a shortest distance between an innermost projection of the bead core in the lateral direction and a cord of a carcass layer is 0.6 to 1.4 mm, and a shortest distance between an innermost end of the bottom side of the bead core in the lateral direction and the cord of the carcass layer is 1.2 to 2.2 mm.

    Abstract: The pneumatic tire comprises a pair of bead cores, a pair of bead fillers disposed outward of the pair of bead cores in a tire radial direction, a carcass layer disposed folded around the bead cores and the bead fillers, and a steel chafer including an arranged plurality of steel cords, the steel chafer being disposed between the carcass layer and a rim engaging surface. A height Hs of an outer end portion of the steel chafer located outward of the bead fillers in a tire width direction and a rim flange height Hf have the relationship: 0.5≦Hs/Hf≦1.0, where the height is measured from a measuring position of a rim diameter.

    Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a carcass ply that is wound up around a bead core from an inside to an outside in a tire axial direction; an inner metal reinforcing layer and an outer metal reinforcing layer that are wound up on an outside of the carcass ply from the inside to the outside in the tire axial direction; and a buffer layer that is provided between the inner metal reinforcing layer and the outer metal reinforcing layer, and is wound up from the inside to the outside in the tire axial direction. The buffer layer includes a rubber having a higher hardness than those of a carcass rubber configuring the carcass ply and a covering rubber configuring the inner metal reinforcing layer and the outer metal reinforcing layer.

    Abstract: A tire 2 of the present invention includes a pair of fillers 20 turned up around beads 10. Each filler 20 has multiple cords made of steel and aligned with each other. In the tire 2, an outer surface of a chafer 8 has a bottom surface 26 that contacts with a seat surface of a rim 30. When a reference line M represents a straight line that contacts with the bottom surface 26 in a cross-section obtained by cutting the tire at the plane perpendicular to the circumferential direction, the bottom surface 26 has a depression 66 that is shaped so as to project radially outward of the reference line M. A ratio (D/L) of a maximum depth D of the depression 66 to a width L of the depression 66 is greater than or equal to 0.007 and not greater than 0.060.
