摘要: Decorative films, useful for making a wide range of decorative laminates, that have a relatively deep texture on one major face and a relatively smoother, print receptive surface on the other major face. Notwithstanding the deep texture, the films have superb tracking characteristics and are compatible with a wide variety of automated printing operations. This allows automated printing equipment to print information directly onto the films.

摘要: A method of film printing includes an initial drying step for drying a plastic composition. Then, in a heating step, the plastic combination is melted to provide a gelatinized combination. In an extruding step, the gelatinized combination is extruded. In a blow molding step, air is blown into the gelatinized combination to provide a film composition, which is flattened in a flattening step to provide an unfinished film. In a first printing step, a surface of the unfinished film is printed upon to provide a printed film printing. A cutting step cuts the printed film, while a rolling step rolls up the cut and printed film to provide a final film material.

摘要: A method for efficiently producing closely-spaced parallel gridlines and perpendicular bus bar structures on a substrate during a single pass of a multi-nozzle printhead assembly over the substrate. A first section of the parallel gridlines is printed adjacent to one edge of the substrate while moving the printhead assembly in a first direction. The printhead assembly is then reciprocated in a second direction (X-axis) orthogonal to the first direction, whereby the extruded material forms a bus bar structure extending perpendicular to the gridlines. Movement of the printhead assembly in the first direction is then resumed to form a second section of the gridlines. The second direction reciprocation process is repeated for each desired bus bar structure. The entire gridline/bus bar printing process is performed without halting the extrusion of material (i.e., using a continuous bead).

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to an exterior composite board comprising a core formed from polymeric material and a filler. The core may be an elongated member or other relevant shape for a construction material. An opaque tie layer is disposed on at least one surface of the core. An optional primer and/or optional textured layer may be disposed on the tie layer. The optional textured layer has surface features defined by varying depth. The optional primer layer and/or optional textured layer are digitally printed on the previous layer. Next, a color layer is disposed on the optional primer layer or optional textured layer, or if no optional primer or optional textured layer is present, directly on the tie layer. The color layer, which may comprise up to four different individually applied layers, is digitally printed on the optional primer layer, optional textured layer, or tie layer. The outermost layer disposed on the color layer is the protective layer.
