摘要: A process that catalytically converts olefinic (Alkenes, typically liquid at standard temperature and pressure) material in thermally cracked streams to meet olefin content specifications for crude oil transport pipelines. A thermally cracked stream or portion of a thermally cracked stream is selectively reacted to reduce the olefin content within a reactor operating at specific, controlled conditions in the presence of a catalyst and the absence of supplemental hydrogen. The process catalyst is comprised of a blend of select catalyzing metals supported on an alumina, silica or shape selective zeolite substrate together with appropriate pore acidic components.

摘要: A method and system remove hydrogen sulfide from a sour liquid. In an embodiment, the method for removing hydrogen sulfide from a hydrocarbon containing fluid includes contacting a methylmorpholine-N-oxide solution with the sour liquid. The method also includes allowing the methylmorpholine-N-oxide to react with the hydrogen sulfide to remove the hydrogen sulfide.

摘要: A treatment process for remediating a contaminated liquid containing more than 5 ppm hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and substantially without formation of precipitate, includes steps of steps of adding an aqueous solution containing at least one hydroxide compound at a collective concentration of 35-55 wt % to the contaminated liquid to achieve a concentration of 125-5000 ppm of the hydroxide compounds in the contaminated liquid, adding at least one organic acid and to the liquid to achieve a concentration of 0.01-10 ppm in the contaminated liquid, and dispersing the aqueous solution and the at least one organic acid in the contaminated liquid and allowing the aqueous solution and the at least one organic acid to react with the contaminated liquid for a period of time until a concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the contaminated liquid is reduced to ≤5 ppm.

摘要: Applying a sufficient quantity of an Alkali metal or an Alkaline earth metal to a fluid in a stripping process loop 106 to form a first intermediary compound and thereby, to strip the undesired element from the process fluid 102. The first intermediary compound 130 is processed in a recovery process loop 110 to recover the Alkali metal or Alkaline earth metal. The recovered Alkali metal or Alkaline earth metal is then re-introduced to an additional quantity of process fluid to strip and clean the undesired element from the additional quantity of the process fluid. A recovery process loop 110 may include either or both of a chemical substitution process, and an electrolytic process, effective to separate the Alkali metal or Alkaline earth metal from the undesired element or another compound.

摘要: A method of removing oxygenates from a hydrocarbon stream comprises passing a hydrocarbon stream to a caustic tower having a plurality of loops, contacting the hydrocarbon stream with a sulfided catalyst between a first loop of the plurality of loops and a second loop of the plurality of loops to produce a reaction product, passing the reaction product to the second loop, removing at least a portion of the hydrogen sulfide in the second loop of the caustic tower to produce a product stream, and separating the product stream into a plurality of hydrocarbon streams in a separation zone located downstream of the caustic tower. The hydrocarbon stream comprises hydrocarbons, oxygen containing components, and sulfur containing compounds. At least a portion of the sulfur compounds react in the presence of the sulfided catalyst to produce hydrogen sulfide in the reaction product.
