Abstract:
The present invention to provide a method of mounting a semiconductor laser component capable of preventing deterioration of laser characteristics and destruction of the semiconductor laser component due to residual stresses as well as preventing decrease of a lifetime due to increase in temperature of the semiconductor laser component. The method of mounting a semiconductor laser device which comprises a step of pressure bonding a semiconductor laser component on a submount by a collet while a bonding member is heated to be fused or melt on a submount by heating a table on which the submount is placed, for example, characterized in that the table and the collet are heated to a temperature higher than a fusing point of said bonding member so as not to occur the heat transfer substantially to a collet, and then heating of the table and the collet is terminated with maintaining the pressure bonding state.
Abstract:
An on board refueling vapor recovery system includes a first fuel vapor passage for connecting a fuel tank with a canister, a second fuel vapor passage for connecting an inlet portion of a fuel filler pipe with the fuel vapor passage (a tank main body) and a check valve in the second fuel vapor passage. The check valve is integrated with a first quick connector of a resin hose (a resin tube) which constitutes the second fuel vapor passage. Therefore, the number of man hours required for assembling the on board refueling vapor recovery system can be reduced. In addition, the space required for installing any of the on board refueling vapor recovery system can also be reduced. Furthermore, the amount of released fuel evaporative emissions or fuel evaporative emissions can be reduced.
Abstract:
A mobile communication apparatus and method which extract surrounding base stations within a certain defined area centered at a present location of a mobile unit, carry out an arithmetic operation for obtaining a specified weighting coefficient with respect to each of the extracted surrounding base stations on the basis of a direction of each of the extracted surrounding base stations from the present location of the mobile unit and a traveling direction of the mobile unit carry out a further arithmetic operation for weighting a value of the electric field strength of a signal recieved from each of the surrounding base stations with the weighting coefficient of a corresponding surrounding base station to provide a weighted electric field strength of each of the extracted surrounding base station, and select the one base station from the extracted surrounding base stations depending on a value of the weighted electric field strength.
Abstract:
In a multi-directional operation switch, an operating disk, upon being pressed at its upper side, tilts to depress a elastic pressing member, thus making hard rings of the driving member to press a resistor sheet sequentially. This operation allows resistor layers beneath the resistor sheet to directly contact annular electrically conductive layers facing the resistor layers in a desired sequence, respectively. The multi-directional operation switch has a reduced height and can produce a number of switching signals according to desired angular directions of switching operations.
Abstract:
A rotary-push type electronic component is provided for use in an electronic appliance such as a mobile phone. The electronic component includes a base unit, a frame mounted to the base unit, a support shaft coupling the frame to the base unit for pivotal and vertical movement of the frame relative to the base unit, a generally cylindrical operation knob rotatably mounted to the frame, a rotary operation device for emitting an electric signal upon rotation of the generally cylindrical operation knob, and a pair of self-restoring push operation parts spaced apart on the base unit below the frame so as to be operated by pivoting of the frame about the support shaft relative to the base unit. The support shaft is disposed at a rear portion of the frame, and the push operation parts are disposed beneath a front portion of the frame.
