The image forming apparatus comprising an endless latent carrier; means for forming an electrostatic latent image on the endless latent carrier; developing means for developing the electrostatic latent image on the endless latent carrier; a developer cartridge detachably attached to the developing means for exchanging developers, and having the same components as the above-described cartridge; drive means for driving the cylindrical body of the developer cartridge for developer exchange; detecting means for detecting the setting means of the developer cartridge to detect if the developer cartridge is unused or used; and a control circuit for controlling the drive means in accordance with a detection result from the detecting means.
Abstract:
A train wheel of an electronic timepiece having more than two motors which drive hand wheels through individual train wheels includes a guide pipe driven and fixed in a bottom plate in the timepiece. The first hand wheel driven by the rotor of the first motor through the first train wheel has a central shaft as its rotational axis. The central shaft of the first hand wheel is inserted into the guide pipe so as to be guided and supported by the inner surface of the guide pipe. The second hand wheel has a central pipe as its rotational axis. The central pipe of the second hand wheel has the guide pipe inserted therein so as to be guided and supported by the outer surface of the guide pipe. Whereby the hand wheels do not come into contact with each other with result that the drive force of one of the hand wheels is not transmitted to the other hand wheel.
Abstract:
A disc brake has a structure for supporting the friction pads in which a caliper body including a bridge section extending over a disc and first and second arm sections is provided with a pad spring for resiliently holding the upper portions of the friction pads to come in pressure contact with the sliding plane of the disc. The friction pads are provided at the upper parts of the backing plates thereof with recesses or projections, and the pad spring is constructed from a holder and a bent extension located at its center. The holder is resiliently caused to engage fixedly with the inner side walls or the inner upper walls of the bridge section, and the bent extension is kept in contact with at least the side wall of the recesses or projections positioned on the side out of which the disc rotates, whereby the friction pads are held under pressures against the torque-receiving portion of a bracket located on the side out of which the disc rotates, and are forced in the direction of the rotating shaft of the disc.
Abstract:
A power semiconductor module includes: a plurality of first metal plates arranged in the same planar state; a power semiconductor chip mounted on the first metal plate; and an overbridge-shaped second metal plate which is composed of bridge frame sections and leg sections that support the bridge frame sections, the leg sections being for appropriately performing solder bonding between electrodes of the power semiconductor chips and between the electrode of the power semiconductor chip and the first metal plate, the power semiconductor module being configured by a resin package in which these members are sealed with electrically insulating resin. In the power semiconductor module, the solder bonding section of the leg section is formed in a planar shape by bending process and is provided at a position lower than the bridge frame section.
Abstract:
A watch with a calendar mechanism has a rotatable first date indicator for displaying a ones place of a date, a rotatable second date indicator for displaying a tens place of the date, and a second date indicator feeding lever for rotating the second date indicator. The first date indicator has calendar shift teeth and first date indicator tooth portions. The calendar shift teeth include a first calendar shift tooth, a second calendar shift tooth arranged relative to the first calendar shift tooth at a first interval, a third calendar shift tooth arranged relative to the second calendar shift tooth at a second interval greater than the first interval, and a fourth calendar shift tooth arranged relative to the first calendar shift tooth at a third interval greater than each of the first and second intervals. The second date indicator feeding lever has a spring portion and is mounted to undergo movement from a first position toward the second date indicator in accordance with rotation of the first date indicator and is restored to the first position by a spring force of the spring portion.
Abstract:
To provide a residual wound quantity display mechanism of a timepiece, in which it is possible to change a way of a display without changing a basic structure, and a timepiece with the mechanism concerned. A residual wound quantity display mechanism of a mechanical timepiece has an output gearwheel rotating in compliance with a change in a residual wound quantity of a mainspring; a drive lever possessing monolithically a fan-shaped gearwheel part meshing with the output gearwheel, and an arm part extending from a rotation center of the fan-shaped gearwheel part in a direction different from a fan-shaped portion of the fan-shaped gearwheel part; a display member possessing a drive gearwheel part rotatably supported to a tip part of the arm part of the drive lever, and a display arbor formed monolithically in the drive gearwheel part in a site separated from a rotation center of the drive gearwheel part; and a fixation gearwheel possessing a fixation tooth part with which a tooth part of the drive gearwheel part of the display member meshes. Typically the fixation gearwheel adopts a form of the internally-toothed gearwheel.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a dishwasher which permits cost reductions while enabling increased strength. A reinforcement member is mounted between pillars, which are erected in the corners of a machine chamber, and a functional part for executing washing and rinsing is fixed to the reinforcement member. Here, an example of the functional part is a washing pump for delivering washing water. Furthermore, another example for the functional part is a connecting part for connecting electrical wiring between a control box and a detergent supply device or a booster or the like.
Abstract:
To provide a calendar mechanism-attached timepiece having a thin date feeding mechanism and month feeding mechanism. A calendar mechanism-attached timepiece of the invention includes a date indicator, a month indicator, a date indicator driving wheel, a date feed finger, and a small month end feed lever. The date indicator includes a month feed tooth for rotating an intermediate month wheel and a small month end feed tooth for feeding the date indicator at a month end of a small month. The month indicator includes a month cam for operating a small month end feed lever at a month end of a small month. The small month end feed lever is constituted to be able to feed the date indicator by an amount of 1 day based on rotation of the date indicator driving wheel and rotation of the month cam.
