摘要: In a glass chopped strand mat, a short chopped strand layer having first glass chopped strands with an average length of 25.4 to 76.2 mm and a long chopped strand layer having second glass chopped strands with an average length of 76.2 to 203.2 mm are laminated, a difference between the average length of the first glass chopped strands and that of the second glass chopped strands is 25.4 mm or greater, the short chopped strand layer occupies 50 to 70 parts by mass, and the long chopped strand layer occupies 30 to 50 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the glass chopped strand mat, a mass per unit area of the glass chopped strand mat is 180 g/m2 or lower, and a loss on ignition of the glass chopped strand mat measured on the basis of JIS R 3420 is lower than 10%.

摘要: Provided is a method for producing glass fiber, capable of stably performing the spinning of glass fibers without mixing of red crystals in glass fibers. When glass fibers are formed by discharging, from a nozzle tip, a molten glass obtained by melting glass raw materials mixed so as to give a glass composition including, when melted, in relation to the total amount thereof, SiO2 in a range from 57.0 to 62.0% by mass, Al2O3 in a range from 15.0 to 20.0% by mass, MgO in a range from 7.5 to 12.0% by mass, and CaO in a range from 9.0 to 16.5% by mass, and having a total content of SiO2, Al2O3, MgO and CaO of 98.0% by mass or more, the glass composition includes B2O3, Li2O, or B2O3 and Li2O as an additive or additives capable of suppressing the generation of red crystals.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a monoclonal antibody that is useful in specifically assaying tartrate resistant acid phosphatase 5b (TRACP-5b). A hybridoma producing a monoclonal antibody against TRACP-5b, said monoclonal antibody showing higher reactivity with TRACP-5b than with tartrate resistant acid phosphatase 5a (TRACP-5a) and, therefore, being specific to TRACP-5b, is obtained by cell fusion using, as an antigen, human recombinant TRACP-5b purified from silkworm silk gland. By using this monoclonal antibody, TRACP-5b in a specimen can be highly sensitively and specifically detected.

摘要: A nonwoven fabric is constructed of a highly flat glass fiber which is a glass fiber whose section is flat and has a flatness ratio of 2.0 to 10 and which has such a section that the packing fraction is at least 85%, preferably at least 90%. In this nonwoven fabric, the glass fiber section has a shape near rectangle, and hence, the glass fibers can be arranged very densely to form a thin nonwoven fabric having a high bulk density, and when it is used as a laminate material, the glass fiber content can be increased and the surface smoothness can simultaneously be enhanced and can be used appropriately as a reinforcing material for a printed wiring board. Moreover, the above flat glass fiber can be produced by use of, for example, a nozzle having such a shape that one side of the major axis walls of a nozzle chip having a flat nozzle hole is partly notched.
