Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting a request for access to a wireless network via an access point. Responsive to a first determination that the identifier corresponds to an entry in the list, access is facilitated to the wireless network via the access point without the equipment of the requesting user providing credentials to the wireless network. The list includes a first set of entries corresponding to a first set of users having unrestricted access and a second set of entries corresponding to a second set of users having restricted access. Responsive to a second determination that the identifier does not correspond to any of the entries, a message is transmitted to equipment of the host regarding the request, and responsive to receiving approval, the list is updated to include the identifier. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A method and system for controlling access to restricted sectors in airspace is disclosed. The method includes creating a multi-dimensional map of airspace, overlaying a sector having boundaries onto the map, wherein the sector contains a restricted flight zone and a buffer zone monitoring the flight of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), sending a command to the UAV if the UAV enters the buffer zone; and generating a response if the UAV does not leave the sector based on the command.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, embodiments a service multiplexer identifying a service associated with each of a group of sensors resulting in a group of services. Further embodiments include the service multiplexer creating a service portfolio according to the group of services. Additional embodiments include service multiplexer communicatively coupling to nodes over a 5th Generation (5G) network according to the service portfolio. The 5G network includes a control plane and user plane. Also, embodiments include service multiplexer continuously connecting to the control plane. Further embodiments include receiving data from the sensors. Additional embodiments include service multiplexer determining that the received data is associated with the service portfolio. Also, embodiments include service multiplexer identifying one or more of the nodes according to the service portfolio and sending the received data to the one or more of the nodes over the user plane. Abstract: Resource-sensitive token-based access point selection is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) can generate a request for resources that can be shared with an selection component remote from the UE. The request for resources can be generated independent of the UE receiving information about an access point (AP) in range of the UE. The selection component can pair the UE with an AP resource based on AP data and UE data. The selection component can generate a token comprising information related to the pairing. The UE can receive the token via a device other than the AP or via the AP. The token can be employed by the UE to initiate a link to the AP to enable use of the AP resource by the UE. The link can be resource sensitive in view of the request for resources and available AP resources.

Abstract: Systems and processes that incorporate teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving a request for a streaming video application service from a mobile device and, responsive to determining a relationship between a service provider of a wireless access point and a service provider of a cellular network providing the streaming video application service via the cellular services. Responsive to determining that the wireless access point is in a communication range of the mobile device based on a proximity of the wireless access point to the mobile device, a communication session is initiated between the mobile device and the wireless access point. Delivery of the streaming video application service to the mobile device is switched from over the cellular network to over the wireless access point. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, associating a global-to-local network profile with a user profile of a first communications network and detecting a number of local networks managed separately from the first communications network. The local networks include local user profiles, wherein access to resources of a local network is based on credentials available by way of a local user profile associated with the user. A location of the user is determined and a proximity of the user to a first local network is determined based on the location of the user. Information is transferred between the global-to-local network profile and a local user profile based on the proximity of the user to the first local network, wherein the transferring of the information supports a registration status of the user with the first local network of the plurality of local networks. Abstract: A device includes a processor having a trusted security zone and trusted memory communicatively coupled to the trusted security zone to form a trusted execution environment (TEE) in which trusted applications operate. The trusted memory has a common repository. The device includes memory storing instructions that cause the processor to effectuate operations. The operations include receiving, from a first trusted application of the trusted applications, a first application data and storing the first application data in the common repository. The operations include determining that a second trusted application of the trusted applications has permission to access the first application data based on a policy module of the TEE and allowing the second trusted application to access the first application data.

Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a dynamic access slice pooling system with software defined network (SDN) controlled capabilities in a 5G wireless communications system. A radio access network device can have one or more slices instantiated on the device that facilitate various services being requested by user equipment devices. A slice can have one or more virtual network functions that are specialized for particular services. When a user equipment device requests a service, the service can be assigned to a slice based on the type of service being requested. If the type of slice associated with the service is not currently operational, the SDN controller on the radio access network device can instantiate a new slice with the virtual network functions selected for the service being requested.
