Abstract: In an embodiment, a remote antenna unit includes a transmitter, a receiver, an antenna, a first interference circuit, and a second interference circuit. The transmitter is configured to generate a transmit signal, and the receiver configured to process a receive signal. The antenna is coupled to the transmitter and the receiver and is configured to radiate a downlink signal in response to the transmit signal and generate the receive signal in response to an uplink signal. The first interference circuit is coupled to the transmitter and the receiver and is configured to receive an analog signal from the transmitter. The second interference circuit coupled to the transmitter and the receiver. The first interference circuit and the second interference circuit are configured to reduce, in the receive signal, interference caused by the transmit signal and/or at least one downlink signal radiated by an antenna.

Abstract: A head end unit of a distributed antenna system includes circuitry configured to: receive downlink signals from at least one base station; process the downlink signals into downlink channelized digital baseband signals at the head end unit by at least one of mixing, decimating, and filtering the downlink channelized digital baseband signals including call information for wireless communication; format the downlink channelized digital baseband signals for transport together; packetize and packet schedule the downlink channelized digital baseband signals into downlink packetized baseband signals at the head end unit; and transmit the downlink packetized baseband signals from the head end unit to remotely located units of the distributed antenna system.

Abstract: Certain aspects and features of the present disclosure relate to a validation sub-system for determining whether access points in a telecommunication system provide suitable performance for a specified configuration of the telecommunication system. For example, a wireless receiver can simultaneous receive beacon signals at a common frequency from multiple access points. Each beacon signal has a data sequence that is different than the other beacon signals. A processing device can determine, based on the data sequences received by the wireless receiver, channel responses for channels between the access points and the wireless receiver. The processing device can output, based on the channel responses, an indicator that the access points are suitable for a specified configuration of a telecommunication system for providing wireless coverage using the access points.

A TDD mode scheduler is configured for monitoring a downlink communications channel for the start of a downlink frame, sub-frame, or resource slot. Based on the start of a downlink frame, sub-frame, or resource slot, the TDD mode scheduler can identify a TDD transmission time-slot. The TDD mode scheduler can schedule high-powered downlink sub-frames during the TDD transmission time-slots where higher power output may be desirable. Based on the indication of the TDD transmission time-slot, a transmit/receive controller can increase the gain of the downlink communication and reduce the gain of the uplink communication.

Abstract: A system is provided for adjusting power provided over a channel to a device. The system can include power sourcing equipment and a sub-system. The power sourcing equipment can provide power to a powered device via a channel. The sub-system can determine an amount by which to increase the power based on a resistance of the channel. The power sourcing equipment or the powered device can adjust the power (or load) in response to a command from the sub-system. The sub-system can include at least one measurement device and a processor. The measurement device can measure an output voltage of the power sourcing equipment, an input voltage of the powered device, and a current on the channel. The processor can determine the resistance of the channel based on the output voltage, the input voltage, and the current. The processor can output a command specifying an increase or decrease in the level of power supplied by the power sourcing equipment.

Abstract: Certain aspects are directed to a base station router disposed in a distributed antenna system. The base station router includes a backplane and a controller. The backplane can manage an availability of sectors for coverage zones. Each sector can include communication channels to be radiated to mobile devices in the coverage zones and can represent an amount of telecommunication capacity. The controller can respond to a traffic indicator by causing the backplane to redistribute the availability of at least one sector. The sector can be redistributed from a first coverage zone to a second coverage zone.

The uplink RF signal can have an uplink signal power at or near a noise level. The leaked downlink RF signal can have a downlink signal power greater than the uplink signal power. The ADC can convert the received wideband signals to digital RF signals representing the uplink signal and the downlink signal. The wideband remote unit can transmit the digital RF signals to a unit of a DAS that is in communication with a base station.

Abstract: An endpoint element of a distributed antenna system includes processing circuitry configured for processing a plurality of digital signals for conditioning the signals and compression circuitry configured for compressing at least one of the digital signals according to a compression scheme to yield at least one compressed digital signal and compression settings. The digital signals are combined into a single digital stream and combined and time division multiplexed onto a serial data link with the compression settings. The digital signals are also transmitted with compression settings to another endpoint element over the serial data link.
