Abstract: Methods and systems herein provide for calibrating for a plurality of different paper types. In one embodiment, a system for calibrating a printer includes a measurement module operable to detect colors printed on a first tangible medium by the printer and convert the detected colors to a detected color characterization. The system also includes a storage module operable to store a calibration file. The calibration file includes color characterizations of a plurality of different tangible mediums and each color characterization includes color measurements for one of the plurality of different tangible mediums obtained from the printer via the measurement module when the printer is calibrated. The system also includes a calibration module operable to compare the detected color characterization to at least two color characterizations of the calibration file and determine an adjustment to an output color scheme of the printer based on the comparison to calibrate the printer.

Abstract: Methods for inhibiting angiogenesis comprising administering tissue-plasminogen activator (tPA) inhibitors, and pharmaceutical compositions suitable for the methods comprising the tPA inhibitors. Also provided are methods for stimulating angiogenesis comprising administering tPA to a patient in need thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising an effective amount of tPA for the methods of stimulation. The present invention discloses that tPA is a specific PDGF-C activating protease, and that the CUB-domains in PDGF-CC directly interact with the protease, are required for efficient proteolysis, and released CUB-domains are tPA inhibitors. Preferably, the method and compositions of the present invention are used for simultaneously stimulating, or simultaneously inhibiting, thrombolysis and angiogenesis.

Abstract: A device and method of rendering visual information combine image information like video and secondary image information, like graphics. The image information and the secondary image information are processed for generating output information to be rendered in a three-dimensional space. The output information is arranged for display on a 3D stereoscopic display having a true display depth range (44). The processing includes detecting an image depth range of the image information, and detecting a secondary depth range of the secondary visual information. In the display depth range (44), a first sub-range (41) and second sub-range (43) are determined, which first sub-range and second sub-range are non-overlapping. The image depth range is accommodated in the first sub-range and the secondary depth range is accommodated in the second sub-range. Advantageously graphics and video are displayed in true 3D without video objects occluding graphical objects.
