    摘要: The invention provides and a highly-dispersed supported catalyst that has a reduced average particle size of catalytic metal particles and is also supported by a porous support material. A method of preparing a supported catalyst that can reduce the average particle size of catalytic metal particles supported by a support material includes first mixing a charged support material with a solution containing a polymer electrolyte having a charge opposite to that of the support material to adsorb the polymer electrolyte on the support material. Next, the support material having the polymer electrolyte adsorbed thereon is mixed with a solution containing a catalytic metal precursor ion having a charge opposite to that of the polymer electrolyte to adsorb the catalytic metal precursor ion on the support material having the polymer electrolyte adsorbed on it. Finally, the catalytic metal precursor ion adsorbed on the support material having the polymer electrolyte adsorbed thereon is reduced to a catalytic metal in a reducing solution.

    摘要: The present invention is related to a high loading supported carbon catalyst having Pt or a Pt alloy supported into an electrically conductive carbon support. Specifically, in the carbon supported catalyst, a loading of the supported Pt or Pt alloy is in the range of about 50% to about 60% by weight, an average particle size is about 1 nm to about 3 nm, and a total specific surface area of the carbon supported catalyst is greater than about 200 m2/g. The carbon supported catalyst may improve the performance of a fuel cell because the catalytic metal particles have a small size and a high degree of dispersion. Also, a carbon supported catalyst having very fine catalyst particles uniformly dispersed may be prepared even at a high loading may be prepared.

    摘要: A catalyst for purifying exhaust gases from diesel engines with an improved purification efficiency for both nitrogen oxide and particulates in exhaust emissions is provided. The catalyst includes: (i) a first catalytic layer containing a carrier portion including iron (Fe)-doped modified zirconium dioxide, and a catalyst portion including a material selected from the group consisting of copper (Cu), copper oxide, and mixtures thereof, and (ii) a second catalytic layer containing a carrier portion including Cu-doped modified zirconium dioxide, a main catalyst portion including platinum (Pt) and tin (Sn), and a co-catalyst portion including copper oxide. The catalyst portion of the first catalytic layer may contain palladium (Pd) instead of Cu.
