    摘要: A system for controlling development conditions under which an exposed film strip is processed with a compact multi-purpose film handling cartridge. The film cartridge which is adapted to be mounted in a motion picture camera and projector employing the system of the invention and including motor drive means contains a strip of film, a processing station, film advance means engaging said drive means when the cartridge is mounted in said camera or projector, and an applicator containing development chemicals positioned in said processing station to be brought into operable relationship with the film strip when said processing station is rendered operable, thereby they are expressed onto the film strip from the applicator while said film strip is being advanced. In order to optimize the processing of the exposed film strip regardless of deviation of the temperature of the development chemicals from a desired predetermined level, the system includes means located in close proximity to the applicator for detecting the ambient temperature thereof, a first motor control means cooperating with said temperature detecting means to control the speed of said motor in accordance with the detected temperature, and a second motor control means for maintaining a constant rate of travel of the film strip advanced by said film advance means across the processing station, said first and second motor control means being associated with each other for processing the exposed film strip in optimization as well as in uniformity along the length of the film strip.

    摘要: Automatic and rapid exposure control is incorporated in a camera having facilities for directing, along a common path, a pair of independent noncoincident light beams from an external object and from a separately illuminable item, such as a databearing transparency within the camera. A photoelectric circuit responsive to the total quantity of the directed light generates a proportional control voltage for operating an adjustable diaphragm to maintain a predetermined incident level of the directed light on the camera film and/or controlling the item illuminator or an auxiliary illuminator for the external object. Threshold controlled, motor-instrumented apparatus may be additionally provided to advance the film, to selectively operate a camera shutter, and to illuminate the item in response to trigger signals generated, e.g., upon the detection of the presence of the external object.

Backlight unit (10) includes light guide plate (100), which includes layered plate-like optical members (110, 120), and light sources (12). A main surface (111, 121) of each optical member (110, 120) is partitioned into areas including one or more emergence areas and non-emergence areas. When light is incident on each optical member (110, 120) through a side surface thereof, light emerges from emergence areas but does not emerge from non-emergence areas. The optical members (110, 120) are layered such that each non-emergence area of one optical member (110) overlaps a different one of emergence areas of another (120). Light sources (12) are arranged to face the side surface of each optical member (110, 120) and are capable of local dimming control by being lit with light emitted therefrom adjusted.
