摘要： An apparatus for generating a reference frame is disclosed including: an interpolation unit for interpolating a reference frame per fractional pixel; a virtual encoder for determining a block mode of a current frame and a motion vector according to the block mode by using an interpolated reference frame; an offset calculator for calculating an offset for each pixel of the interpolated reference frame by using the block mode and the motion vector; and an offset adder for generating an offset interpolated reference frame by adding the offset for each pixel to each pixel of the interpolated reference frame. By adding the offset calculated according to the block mode to the reference frame for the inter prediction and making the reference frame to be used for the motion estimation and compensation similar to the current frame to be encoded, motion prediction is accurate and compression efficiency is improved.

摘要： A motion vector encoding apparatus includes: an optimum motion vector determiner for determining optimum motion vectors for multiple reference pictures with respect to a current motion vector of a current block; a motion vector encoding mode determiner for determining a motion vector encoding mode according to whether a motion vector decoding apparatus can predict the optimum motion vectors for the multiple reference pictures; and a motion vector encoder for generating and encoding motion information on the multiple reference pictures by using the optimum motion vectors for the multiple reference pictures or preset default motion vectors for the multiple reference pictures according to the motion vector encoding mode, and generating motion vector encoded data by encoding the motion vector encoding mode. The motion vector encoding apparatus can more accurately predict a predicted motion vector of the current motion vector for multiple reference pictures, so as to improve the compression efficiency.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for image encoding/decoding are disclosed. The apparatus includes: a block decomposer for decomposing a current block into a plurality of sub-blocks; and an intra prediction encoder for performing an intra prediction encoding by referring to already encoded and decoded adjacent pixel information of each sub-block, based on an intra prediction mode equal to an intra prediction mode of the current block, thereby generating a bit stream for the current block. In image encoding and image decoding, when a current block to be encoded or decoded is predicted, the disclosed method and apparatus can improve the accuracy of the prediction, which can provide an image with a satisfactory reproduction quality by improved coding efficiency.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to an intra prediction method and apparatus and an image encoding/decoding method and apparatus using the same. The disclosure provides the intra prediction apparatus that predicts the pixel values of respective pixels in a current block by weight-averaging the pixel values of one or more adjacent pixels in neighboring blocks to the current block according to the distances between each pixel in the current block and the adjacent pixel(s). According to the disclosure, the current block to be encoded can be predicted more accurately so that the encoding efficiency is improved by reducing the difference between the original block and the predicted block, and thereby video compression efficiency can be improved.

摘要： A motion search method and apparatus for minimizing an off-chip memory access to reduce cycles for predicting a motion vector. A sum of absolute differences (SAD) calculation processing is performed, while an off-chip memory is accessed using Direct Memory Access (DMA). A position of a current macro block is determined if a frame is input and the length of a horizontal search line is set according to adjacent motion vectors and predetermined external parameters. The SADs are calculated by calculating medians of the adjacent motion vectors as a predictive motion vector, setting a vertical direction value of the predictive motion vector as an initial search line, and sequentially searching at least one horizontal search line, and determining a position of a minimum SAD from the at least one horizontal search line. The minimum SAD position is selected as a final motion vector.
