    摘要: Systems and methodologies are described herein that facilitate Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (H-ARQ) scheduling and coordination in a wireless communication system. As described herein, a network node capable of cooperation with other nodes for communication to respective users can coordinate a cooperation strategy across nodes based on a H-ARQ protocol to be utilized for a given user. In the case of a synchronous H-ARQ protocol, communication can be scheduled as described herein such that initial transmissions to a user are conducted cooperatively and re-transmissions are conducted without inter-node cooperation. In the case of a H-ARQ protocol utilizing persistent assignments, transmission intervals can be calculated and utilized based on application latency requirements, backhaul link latency, or other factors. In the case of an asynchronous H-ARQ protocol, repeat transmissions can be coordinated in a similar manner to initial transmissions or conducted without inter-node cooperation based on latency sensitivity of an associated application.

    摘要: Techniques for generalized pilot interference cancellation in a communications receiver. In an exemplary embodiment, a residual pilot is cancelled from a post-traffic cancellation signal following initial first-pass pilot cancellation. Residual pilot cancellation is achieved by adding the first-pass cancelled pilot as earlier stored in memory back to the post-traffic cancellation signal, and pilot filtering the resulting signal to generate an improved pilot interference estimate. In an alternative exemplary embodiment, an arbitrary number of iterations may be applied to generate the pilot interference estimate by successively storing each generated pilot interference estimate in memory.

    摘要: Techniques for supporting distributed MIMO are described. For multi-user distributed MIMO, a cell directs its transmit power toward a UE while reducing interference to UE(s) in neighbor cell(s). For single-user distributed MIMO, multiple cells concurrently send transmissions to a UE. In an aspect, a UE sends channel estimates for serving and non-serving cells to support multi-user distributed MIMO. Each cell may use the channel estimates to select UEs for data transmission and determine precoding vectors to use for data transmission to the selected UEs. In another aspect, a UE sends CQI information for serving and non-serving cells to support single-user distributed MIMO. Each cell may use the CQI information to select UEs for data transmission and determine modulation and coding schemes to use for the selected UEs. In yet another aspect, a UE determines CQI information for a serving cell by taking into account interference nulling by non-serving cells.

    摘要: In a communication system, user equipment (UE) conditionally performs uplink transmit diversity (ULTD) either by Switched Antenna Transmit Diversity (SATD) or Beamforming Transmit Diversity (BFTD) using a first antenna and a second antenna. Either a serving node or the UE determines that uplink transmit diversity is conditionally authorized. Either a serving node or the UE measures a value. The UE transmits using ULTD in response to determining that an enabling condition based on the value is satisfied. The UE can also disable uplink transmit diversity in response to determining that a disabling condition based on the value is satisfied. The disabling condition comprises a disabling threshold that equals the enabling condition comprising an enabling threshold with a threshold adjustment for hysteresis.

The method may include receiving a rate control value and a transmit power value from a node B, wherein the rate control value is determined through uplink scheduling by the node B, and wherein the transmit power value is selected by the node B to maintain a signal to interference plus noise (SINR) metric within a threshold for a pilot channel, transmitting control channel information at a first power level determined from the transmit power value, and using a first average power tracking unit to generate the first selected transmit power and transmitting data channel information at a second power level determined from both the rate control value and the transmit power value.
