An LED package is improved in heat radiating performance. The LED package includes a package substrate having heat radiating means; a heat radiating layer arranged on the package substrate with an area at least larger than a mounting area of a light emitting diode chip to provide a horizontal heat radiating path; and an electrically-connecting structure including first and second conductive leads arranged on the heat radiating layer. The light emitting diode chip is mounted on the heat radiating layer or the first conductive lead by a heat conductive adhesive layer.

Disclosed are a method for manufacturing a catalyst-coated membrane, the catalyst-coated membrane manufactured by the method, and a fuel cell including the catalyst-coated membrane manufactured by the method. The method includes the steps of: (a) providing a mask including a masking film layer and a first adhesive layer laminated on the masking film layer, and having patterns in which portions corresponding to the portions of an electrolyte membrane to be coated with catalyst are removed; (b) attaching the mask on one surface or both surfaces of the electrolyte membrane; (c) coating catalyst ink on the electrolyte membrane through the patterns of the mask so as to form a catalyst layer; and (d) removing the masking film layer and the first adhesive layer.
Abstract:
A device and method for deploying a mechanical closure device for closing a passageway in a body, for example a patent foramen ovale (PFO) in a heart. The deployment device has a first tubular structure having proximal and distal ends. A second tubular structure is substantially coaxial to and slideably engaged within the first tubular structure. The second tubular structure has a first substantially linear shape when constrained within the first tubular structure, and a second curvilinear shape when telescopically extended from the distal end of the first tubular structure. A third tubular structure is substantially coaxial to and slideably engaged within the second tubular structure. The third tubular structure is configured to provide sufficient rigidity to push the mechanical closure device from the distal end of the second tubular structure, and provide sufficient flexibility to assume a curvilinear shape when deflected by the second tubular structure.

Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a sensor for in vivo applications includes the steps of providing two wafers of an electrically insulating material. A recess is formed in the first wafer, and a capacitor plate is formed in the recess of the first wafer. A second capacitor plate is formed in a corresponding region of the second wafer, and the two wafers are affixed to one another such that the first and second capacitor plates are arranged in parallel, spaced-apart relation.
Abstract:
A multimedia streaming service and method wherein when receiving a multimedia content request from a client, a multimedia content server packetizes the I frame of corresponding multimedia files to download the packetized I frame to the client through TCP. The client receives the I frame transmitted through TCP to sequentially store the received I frame in a key frame local buffer. Then, after completing the download of the I frame, the multimedia content server packetizes the P and B frames of corresponding multimedia file which then are transmitted through UDP. At this time, the multimedia content server provides a streaming service, through which the P and B frames are transmitted, to the client. The client outputs the P and B frames, which are now transmitted in the form of the streaming, as well as the previously stored I frame to a play-out buffer in accordance with the play-out algorithm. Therefore, the corresponding user can receive the multimedia service of high quality image with the waiting time reduced significantly.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a selection ratio of a chemical-mechanical-polishing slurry composition for polishing and ablating an oxide layer selectively in relation to a nitride layer, the method includes: a step of confirming a polishing-rate selection ratio of an oxide layer to a nitride layer of a chemical-mechanical-polishing slurry composition which includes ceria polishing particles, a dispersing agent, and an anionic additive, while a concentration of the anionic additive is changed; and a step of adjusting the concentration of the anionic additive to attain a desired selection ratio of the slurry composition, on the basis of the confirmed polishing-rate selection ratio, thereby controlling the selection ratio of the slurry composition.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a hermetically-sealed chamber with an electrical feedthrough includes the step of hermetically fixing an electrode to a substrate in a predetermined location on the substrate. A passage is formed through the substrate through the predetermined location such that at least a portion of the electrode is exposed to the passage. The passage is then at least partially filled with an electrically conductive material. A housing is then formed including the substrate such that the housing defines a chamber, with the electrode being disposed within the housing and the chamber being hermetically sealed. The electrode within the chamber can be placed in electrical communication with an exterior electrical component by way of the electrically conductive material in the passage.
