    摘要: The stepped core pin has a shank to be fitted in a pin holding bore formed in a wall of a casting mold and a forming portion having a diameter smaller than that of the shank which is projected from the inner surface of the casting mold defining a mold cavity into the mold cavity. A front portion of the shank is reduced to form a neck portion and a molten metal stopping portion is formed between the neck portion and the forming portion. The diameter of the molten metal stopping portion, which is slightly smaller than that of the shank excluding the neck portion, is determined so that a clearance through which the molten metal is unable to leak into the pin holding bore is formed between the outer circumference of the pin holding bore and the inner circumference of the molten metal stopping portion. This clearance effectively combines the length of the forming portion with the length of the neck, thereby reducing stress and fatigue to the projected forming portion.

    摘要: A piezo-electric acceleration sensor, including: a piezo-electric polymer membrane element having an element through-hole; a diaphragm having a diaphragm through-hole and attached to the piezo-electric membrane element so that the diaphragm hole is concentric to the element through-hole to form a laminate with a laminate through-hole; and a fixing mechanism, having a sensing hole, for fixing the laminate in a stretched manner, and wherein: the laminate through-hole has about 2.25 to about 80% of the area of the sensing hole; and the diaphragm and the piezo-electric element meet the equation:(Eb.times.Tb.sup.3)/(Ep.times.Tp.sub.3).gtoreq.about 5wherein Eb, Tb, Ep and Tp are Young's modulus thickness of the diaphragm, Young's modulus, and thickness of the piezo-electric element, respectively, whereby acceleration, applied to the diaphragm, is detected based on a quantity of electricity generated due to strains in a piezo-electric element.

    摘要: A polyester composition is disclosed which includes a polyester, (a) a thermoplastic elastomer and (b) a carbodiimide compound having at least one carbodiimide group and which exhibits improved impact resistance at low temperatures and stability to heat, hot water and steam. The composition is useful to form parts which are exposed to low temperatures. A polyalkylene terephthalate resin composition is also disclosed which includes a polyalkylene terephthalate resin, (a) at least one selected from the group consisting of ethylene/alkyl acrylate and a thermoplastic polyester elastomer and (b) at least one selected from the group consisting of an epoxy resin containing at least two carbodiimide groups in the molecule.
