    摘要: A semiconductor laser device includes a structure in which a first conductivity AlGaInP first cladding layer, an active layer, a second conductivity type AlGaInP second cladding layer, a second conductivity type AlGaInP intermediate layer, and a second conductivity type AlGaInP third cladding layer are successively epitaxially grown on a first conductivity type GaAs semiconductor substrate. The intermediate layer is within a profile of light produced in the active layer and includes AlGaInP layers having a band gap energy smaller than the band gap energy of the second cladding layer and the third cladding layer and larger than the band gap energy of the active layer. The intermediate layer has a multi-layer structure in which (Al.sub.x Ga.sub.1-x)InP layers (0.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.2) and (Al.sub.x Ga.sub.1-x)InP layers (0.5.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.1) are alternatingly laminated. By adding a small amount of Al to the intermediate layer, the band gap energy of the intermediate layer is broadened to control absorption of light emitted from the active layer and an increase in the threshold current of laser oscillation is suppressed. Since the intermediate layer has a multi-layer structure, a semiconductor laser device with sufficient etch stopping effect during etching of an off (100) substrate is realized.

    摘要: An air-fuel ratio control system for an internal combustion engine is provided. This system has an upstream air-fuel ratio sensor arranged upstream of a catalytic converter and a downstream air-fuel ratio sensor arranged downstream thereof, and learns a given feedback control parameter upon reversal of an air-fuel ratio between rich and lean sides based on the downstream air-fuel ratio sensor. The system also learns the given feedback control parameter when preselected conditions are met even if the air-fuel ratio is not reversed. Additionally, the system, when brought under open-loop control from feedback control, stores the given control parameter. Upon resumption of the feedback control, when the air-fuel ratio shows the same status, the stored given control parameter is used. Further, the system controls the air-fuel ratio based on the output from the downstream air-fuel ratio sensor when it moves out of a preselected range.

At the time of detection of a below second linking control circuit, the below second linking control circuit controls to advance by one second on the hand displaying device if the content of the frequency divider is 0.5 seconds and over at the resetting state of second-digit of the optically displaying device and controls to advance by one second on the optically displaying device if the content of the frequency divider is 0.5 seconds and over at the stepping state of the hand displaying device, whereby after the adjustment of either the optically displaying device or the hand displaying device, the time indication of the optically displaying device is linked to the time indication of the hand displaying device within 0.5 seconds.

    摘要: An analogue alarm electronic timepiece has electronic circuitry for controlling the drive of the time-indicating hands by a reversible stepping motor to selectively position the hands at desired alarm time and display time settings. Externally operable switches control the operation of the electronic circuitry and enable re-positioning of the hands by the motor to the previously set alarm time so that the user of the timepiece may confirm the alarm time setting. The electronic circuit includes a first settable memory means for storing the time difference between the alarm time and the present time, and a second settable memory means for storing the time difference between the present time and the display time. First means are provided for detecting coincidences between the alarm time and the present time. Second means are provided for detecting coincidence between the present time and the display time.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the polymerization of acrylonitrile or a monomer mixture containing acrylonitrile as a main component and at least one other ethylenically unsaturated compound, characterized in that the polymerization is conducted at a temperature above 120.degree. C. under a pressure above the vapor pressure generated in the polymerization system under the polymerization conditions in a system in which water is present in a range of 3 to 50 percent by weight based on the total weight of the monomer(s) and water to produce an acrylonitrile polymer in a substantially molten state. The polymers produced according to the above process have the advantage of being able to be directly shaped by extrusion without the need of solvents.
