摘要: A transmission method includes: generating a frame for transfer which stores one or more first internet protocol (IP) packets storing content, and one or more second IP packets each including reference clock information which indicates a time for a playback of the content; and transmitting the generated frame through broadcasting. In the generating, header compression is performed on the one or more first IP packets and the header compression is not performed on the one or more second IP packets.

摘要: In a reproduction technique, a video stream is any of a hybrid stream quantized based on a hybrid optical-electro transfer function (OETF), a High Dynamic Range (HDR) stream quantized based on a non-hybrid OETF, or a Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) stream quantized based on a non-hybrid OETF. Attribute information is received which indicates whether a display apparatus is configured to display at least one of the HDR stream or the SDR stream. Any one of the hybrid stream, the HDR stream, or the SDR stream is transmitted to the display apparatus, or to a reproduction apparatus to which the display apparatus is connected, based on the attribute information.

摘要: A conversion method for converting luminance of a video, including a luminance value in a first luminance range, to be displayed on a display apparatus includes: acquiring a first luminance signal indicating a code value obtained by quantization of the luminance value of the video; and converting the code value indicated by the acquired first luminance signal into a second luminance value determined based on a luminance range of the display apparatus, the second luminance value being compatible with a second luminance range with a maximum value smaller than a maximum value of the first luminance range and larger than 100 nit. This provides the conversion method capable of achieving further improvement.

摘要: In a reproduction method, a video stream has a first dynamic range where a maximum value of a luminance dynamic range is more than a predetermined luminance value, and a display apparatus displays video in a second dynamic range narrower than the first dynamic range. The reproduction method displays video based on a first reproduction signal or a second reproduction signal. The first reproduction signal is obtained by: reproducing a first video stream quantized based on a hybrid OETF without performing luminance conversion; or reproducing the first video stream subjected to the luminance conversion. The second reproduction signal is obtained by performing the luminance conversion on a second video stream not quantized based on the hybrid OETF, and reproducing the second video stream subjected to the luminance conversion.

摘要: A transmitting method includes: inputting, per unit time, a plurality of transfer packets less than or equal to a predetermined number; and transmitting, per the unit time, the plurality of transfer packets that have been input, in a state where definitions compliant with a receiving buffer model are satisfied. Each of the plurality of transfer packets includes a variable-length packet header and a variable-length payload. The definitions compliant with the receiving buffer model are predetermined for guaranteeing a buffering operation of a receiving device, and specify converting a first packet into a second packet and outputting the second packet from a buffer of the receiving device at a predetermined extraction rate. The first packet is included in the transfer packets received and includes a variable-length packet header and a variable-length payload. The second packet has a fixed-length packet header that is extended.
