摘要: A vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) includes a substrate; a first mirror stack over the substrate; an active region having a plurality of quantum wells over the first mirror stack; a tunnel junction over the active region, the tunnel junction including a modulation-doped layer; and a second mirror stack over the tunnel junction. The modulation doped layer can be used for either the n-layer or the p-layer, or the both layers of the tunnel junction. Such tunnel junctions are especially useful for a long wavelength VCSEL.

摘要: A method for controlling the dehydrating operation of a drum type washing machine includes a pre-acceleration step for accelerating a drum to a predetermined control starting speed, and a main accelerating step for accelerating the drum from the control starting speed to a target speed along a linear locus having a preset acceleration slope. A deviation of the center of gravity of the laundry and a pre-spinning time period are reduced in the aforementioned control method.

摘要: A blowing device having an air suction guide with an improved structure to reduce blowing operational noise, and an air conditioning apparatus having the blowing device. The blowing device includes a blowing fan, a fan casing placed to cover the blowing fan and having a suction port, and a suction guide provided in the suction port of the fan casing to guide inlet air to the blowing fan. The suction guide includes a flow guide part extending forward from an edge of the suction port of the fan casing by a predetermined length. Due to the flow guide part of the blowing device, the inlet air flows through the suction port at a constant flowing speed and in a state of laminar flow. Therefore, the blowing device reduces a variation in a pressure applied onto blades of the blowing fan by the inlet air, and reduces operational noise thereof.

摘要: The present invention relates to a multi-layered high-density recording medium and an optical power adjusting method therefor. A multi-layered high-density recording medium of the present invention includes optical power related information for all layers, and a optical power adjusting method of the present invention reads first optical power related information for all layers from a multi-layered optical disk placed in a disk player, stores the read information in another storage device, and immediately makes a current optical power optimal to a moved layer without accessing the placed multi-layered optical disk by referring to the stored optical power related information when moving to another layer during record or reproduction.
