Abstract: The present application is directed to a seat having a hard, firm surface designed to treat hemorrhoids. The hard, firm surface of the seat is configured to have a void and two opposing pressure applying points designed to place positive pressure on the area surrounding a hemorrhoid so as to develop a negative pressure within the body which causes the body to draw the hemorrhoids back up into the body.

Abstract: A pedestrian cycle, to which the invention provides substantial improvements. An illustrative embodiment of the pedestrian cycle is comprised of: a generally U-shaped, partible overhead cycle frame that provides an intrinsic suspension and spring-cushioned ride; front wheel and rear wheel assemblies with customary steerage and brakes; and an exemplary saddle assembly that completely averts pressure on the perinea of the rider while allowing unobstructed leg movement. The saddle assembly is suspended from the cycle frame by a plurality of flexible and adjustable straps which not only isolate the rider from vibration, but allow the rider to hold his or her body vertical while leaning the cycle into a turn as he or she walks or runs. Finally, the invention provides fun outdoor exercise, therapy, or training, with substantively enhanced ambulatory capacity and substantively reduced internal and external impact to the body in all human gaits and to all users able and, importantly, disabled.

Abstract: A control device for a walking assistance device includes a seating section on which a user is seated, a pair of left and right foot sole installation sections fitted to the foot soles of the legs of the user, a pair of left and right leg links which connect the seating section to the foot sole installation sections, actuators which drive joints of the leg links, and an acting force detection means which detects force acting on the user from the seating section. The control device controls a driving force of at least one of the actuators according to the detected value of the acting force so that the force acting on the user is maintained at a least at a predetermined lower limit of upward force. Thus, desired user motions, such as jumping can be performed while appropriate force acts on the user from the seating section.
