For example, hydroprocessing a feedstock having one or more hydrocarbon compounds carried in, or mixed with, a transport gas involves flowing the feedstock through a reaction zone in a reactor that has a bulk pressure less than 68 atm and applying acoustic energy through the reaction zone. The hydrocarbon compounds are chemically reacted with a hydrogen source in the presence of a catalyst, wherein the reacting occurs in the reaction zone.

    摘要: A novel process for metal content reduction of hydrocarbon oil is disclosed, which is primarily aimed at reduction of vanadium and nickel. The process uses electricity to accelerate the demetallation process, but only the flow of electrons of the electric current is used to expedite the reaction, instead of the electrolysis effect of the electric current. The process is carried out by adding inter-phase surface active reagent and phase transfer catalyst at a relatively low temperature range of 80 to 200° C. and achieves metal content reduction for vanadium and nickel. Aqueous phase alcoholic derivatives of amine solution is treated with hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, etc. by additive reaction to render it more suitable for carrying more electric current and make them more active for metal reduction.

    摘要: A process for the hydroprocessing of a low-value light cycle oil (LCO) hydrocarbon feed to provide a high-value diesel-range product. The process comprises a hydrotreatment stage followed by a hydrocracking stage, each of which is conducted under liquid-full reaction conditions wherein substantially all the hydrogen supplied to the hydrotreating and hydrocracking reactions is dissolved in the liquid-phase hydrocarbon feed. Ammonia and optionally other gases formed during hydrotreatment are removed in a separation step prior to hydrocracking. The LCO feed is advantageously converted to diesel in high yield with little loss of hydrocarbon to naphtha.

    摘要: A desulfurization system is operated in a manner which optimizes sulfur removal and octane retention. When the desulfurization reactor is operated at a specific ratio of total pressure to hydrogen partial pressure (PT/PH) and/or within a specific temperature range, optimum sulfur removal and octane retention are realized. The desulfurization reactor can be maintained at these optimized operating conditions by automatically adjusting one or more operating parameters of the desulfurization reactor in order to maintain a substantially constant hydrogen partial pressure (PH) in the reactor. Maintaining a relatively constant hydrogen partial pressure (PH) in the desulfurization reactor helps ensure a relatively consistent degree of desulfurization.
