摘要: The apparatus for coloring a wire includes a plurality of coloring nozzles, each of which spouts a liquid coloring agent toward an outer surface of a wire with a specific amount thereof per spouting so as to allow the liquid drop of the coloring agent to adhere to the outer surface of the wire, thereby coloring the wire. The coloring agent adheres on the outer surface of the wire so as to form a spot. Each coloring nozzle includes an insert member for receiving the coloring agent therein and a nozzle member that communicates with the insert member. The length of the nozzle member is different from each other. The apparatus selects one coloring nozzle from a plurality of the coloring nozzles in response to the size of the spot to be formed on the outer surface of the wire and spouts the coloring agent.

摘要: A coloring apparatus for coloring an electric wire colors the wire spouts a liquid coloring agent, including a coloring material and a solvent, toward an outer surface of the wire with a specific amount thereof at a time. The coloring apparatus includes a coloring agent supply source for receiving the coloring agent, a coloring nozzle and a heater. The coloring nozzle spouts the coloring agent of the coloring agent supply source. The heater includes a heating bath and a hot air inlet. The heating bath receives the coloring nozzle. The heating bath allows the coloring nozzle to spout the coloring agent. The hot air inlet supplies hot air into the heating bath to heat the coloring agent supply source. The heater heats the coloring agent to a range lower than a boiling point of the solvent by the hot air inlet supplying the hot air into the heating bath.

摘要: A printing apparatus is provided for precisely applying identifying indicia to wires connected with connectors without causing any displacement of position and orientation. The printing apparatus is provided with a palette 1 which is moved while being guided by slide rails 6, a wire receiving portion 2 on which wires 21 drawn from a connector 20 are placed, a wire correcting device 3, and a holder 4. The wire 21 fed to a marking section is pressed from above and is straightened in its longitudinal direction by the correcting device 3. The holder 4 holds the straightened wire 21 in the center of the marking section. In this state, printing is applied to the wire 21 by a laser marker 5.

摘要: A process and apparatus for marking an outer jacket of an S-Z stranded cable to indicate the locations of switchbacks thereunder. The process comprises passing a portion of a cable core within a field of view of an imaging means to acquire an image thereof. The quantity of visually distinguishable conductors in the acquired image is compared to a reference value. If the reference value is exceeded, a transition region or switchback is indicated. Once a transition region is indicated, its position is tracked through a outer jacketing step. A marking to indication the location of the transition region is applied to the outer jacket according to the tracked position of the transition region.

摘要: The invention aims to correctly apply a distinctive mark at a given position of a harness and simplify a construction of a harness producing apparatus. A cable path length adjusting mechanism 100 sets a cable path length from a cutting position of a cutter 141 to a center position of marking tools 220 to be the same as a length of an electrical cable 50 to be cut. A cable feeding mechanism 110 locates the cable 50 with respect to the cutter 141 and marking head 221a and 221b only by a feed of the cable. It is possible to correctly apply the distinctive mark on a given area of the harness without changing a relative distance between the cutting position of the cable 50 and the applying position of the distinctive mark. Further, a marking mechanism 200 is disposed on an upper stream with respect to the cable feeding mechanism 110 and is not disposed in the cable end treating unit in which devices are complicatedly arranged, thereby simplifying the construction of the apparatus.

摘要: A system for marking a continuous substrate, such as a sheathed wire, is disclosed. An aqueous-based ink is deposited onto a continuous substrate passing through an ink deposition means. A gas, heated by a heater and directed by a blower across the continuous substrate, heats the deposited aqueous-based ink in an amount sufficient to cause a pigment of the aqueous-based ink to bond to the substrate, thereby marking the continuous substrate. In an alternate embodiment, a system for marking a continuous substrate includes an elongate housing which is disposed substantially vertically. A continuous substrate, onto which an aqueous-based ink has been deposited, is directed upwardly through the housing. Gas, which has been heated in a tube disposed within the housing, is directed across the continuous substrate, causing the pigment of the aqueous-based ink to bond to the continuous substrate and thereby mark the continuous substrate.

摘要: There is disclosed a method for the continuous marking of electric strands with which annular markings, which are limited in axial direction, are applied to the surface of the strands by means of color jets. The color jets emerge under pressure from at least one nozzle which is driven by an electrical oscillation system, the frequency of which is controlled proportionally to a rate of withdrawal of the strands. For an easy changing of the axial distance between the markings, square pulses are fed to the oscillation system from a converter which converts electrical d.c. voltage into a square waveform signal at a specific frequency. The square waveform drives the oscillation system at the specific frequency. As a desired value, the converter is fed a d.c. voltage which is proportional to the rate of withdrawal of the strand.

摘要: A method for the continuous marking of elongated material (1) which is moved in its longitudinal direction, by which ring-shaped markings which are limited in axial direction are applied to the surface of the material (1) by means of ink jets (2). The ink jets (2) emerge under pressure from two nozzles (6, 7) which are arranged parallel to each other and swing continuously on a swing shaft (5). If only one nozzle (6) is to function, the other nozzle (7) is closed by a 3/2-way valve (20). At the same time, a bypass (18) is opened through which the quantity of ink intended for the disconnected nozzle (7) is conducted away. The ink jet (2) of the still functioning nozzle (6) is then retained without change.
