Abstract:
A machine for pipe maintenance, which travels forward through a pipeline and effectively removes foreign substances sticking to the inside of a pipeline, using friction members 70 that are moved along the inside of the pipeline by a rotator assembly 30 and rotated by rotating shaft assemblies 50, which come in contact with the inside of the pipeline is disclosed. Further, rotating shaft assemblies 50 and a rotator assembly 30 are respectively rotated by first and second rotating units 40, 60, such that it is possible to maximize the effect of removing foreign substances in the pipeline by smoothly rotating the friction members 70, and also improve durability by preventing an erroneous operation and damage due to load that is applied during the operation.
Abstract:
The invention is directed toward a system and method for sanitizing a condensate drain to reduce sludge and related pathogens. The system is directed to a sanitizing assembly having a treatment chamber connected to the condensate drain, where the treatment chamber includes a top end and a shaft. A spray assembly is positioned proximate to the top end of the treatment chamber. This spray assembly has a nozzle spray connected to a hot water source. A spray controller within the spray assembly helps disperse a sufficient quantity and pressure of hot water within the shaft to dislodge sludge, when necessary.
Abstract:
A method and system for cleaning foreign material from a fluid reservoir of an implantable medical device, the fluid reservoir being substantially enclosed in an interior portion of the implantable device and accessible from an environment exterior of the implantable device through a penetrable septum. An elongated member having a first end and a second end is engaged with a source of ultrasonic energy capable of imparting vibrations to the first end. The septum is penetrated by the elongated member in a manner such that the first end extends into the fluid reservoir, and the second end does not extend into the reservoir. The ultrasonic energy source is activated to impart vibrations into the reservoir via the elongated member first end, in an amount sufficient to break up the foreign material into particulates, which can then be removed from the reservoir.
Abstract:
A cleaning system for a dairy facility comprising a rinse system including a rinse sprayer, a flush system comprising a process system for processing waste water to obtain processed water, a collection system connected between the dairy facility and the process system, and a flush sprayer. The rinse sprayer sprays rinse water in a first zone of the dairy facility, where the rinse water becomes waste rinse water after the rinse water has been sprayed in the first zone of the dairy facility. The flush sprayer sprays the processed water in a second zone of the dairy facility, where the processed water becomes waste processed water after the processed water has been sprayed in the second zone of the dairy facility. The collection system collects the waste rinse water and the waste processed water to form the waste water and directs the waste water to the process system.
Abstract:
A device for disinfecting a portion of an implement such as a needleless hub or injection port. The device includes a body shaped to engage the implement with the portion to be disinfected exposed. A disinfectant area is located on the body so as to permit pivotal displacement of the area relative to the body such that in a first orientation the portion to be disinfected is exposed and in a second orientation the portion to be disinfected is covered and the disinfectant area engages the portion to be disinfected.
Abstract:
A method for conveying a chemical solution containing a phosphonic acid as an iron dissolving agent through the quaternary annulus chambers in forward combustion cans of a gas turbine to dissolve the iron oxide deposits and thereby facilitate cleaning of the internal fuel pathways. The method uses a cleaning flange attached to the quaternary fuel flange that has a flow directing baffle that enters the quaternary fuel orifice and directs the flow of cleaning solution in one direction in the quaternary annulus chamber.
Abstract:
A resin removal tooling system for electric generator parallel rings including: a non-rotating sheath; a shaft mounted in the non-rotating sheath; a cleaning ball attached to the shaft, the non-rotating sheath positioning the cleaning ball; a high speed motor coupled to the shaft for rotating the shaft; a variable power supply connected to the high speed motor; and a tachometer for measuring a rotational speed of the high speed motor and the cleaning ball. A process of cleaning resin out of an electrical generator parallel ring including the following steps: inserting a cleaning ball mounted on a shaft into the parallel ring; verifying a location of the cleaning ball; rotating the shaft; measuring a rotational speed of the cleaning ball with a tachometer; and removing resin with the cleaning ball.
Abstract:
A method for removing pipe tuberculation includes the initial step of preparing an access point in the existing pipe by digging to the pipe and sawing a section from the pipe or creating an access port. The section of the pipeline to have its tuberculation removed is isolated by closing valves or creating another access point and sealing the end. Then, a reaming tool is introduced to the interior of the pipe. The reaming tool is attached to a hollow rod string capable of producing moderate thrust and pullback force, and must also produce sufficient torque when rotated. A horizontal directional drilling or “HDD” machine on the surface or in a pit dug out for this purpose applies the aforementioned forces to the rod string.
Abstract:
A method of cleaning a filter component comprises subjecting the component to an atmosphere of superheated steam at a pressure of a least 0.5 bar in a vessel and subsequently decompressing the vessel to achieve a pressure reduction of at least 0.5 bar in at most 5 seconds. The method is particularly useful for the cleaning of filter components that have been used for the filtration of molten polymer (e.g. polyester) and which are at least partially blocked by solidified polymer.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for dispensing a gas using a gas source coupled in selective flow relationship with a gas manifold. The gas manifold includes flow circuitry for discharging gas to a gas-using zone, and the gas source includes a pressure-regulated gas source vessel containing the gas at superatmospheric pressure. The pressure-regulated gas source vessel can be arranged with a pressure regulator at or within the vessel and a flow control valve coupled in flow relationship to the vessel, so that gas dispensed from the vessel flows through the regulator prior to flow through the flow control valve, and into the gas manifold. The apparatus and method permit an enhancement of the safety of storage and dispensing of toxic or otherwise hazardous gases used in semiconductor processes.
