    Abstract: A brake system includes an accumulator accumulating hydraulic oil discharged from a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic oil cooler cooling the hydraulic oil discharged from the hydraulic pump, a switch valve switching between a first oil channel that allows supplying the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic pump to the accumulator but not to the hydraulic oil cooler, and a second oil channel that allows supplying the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic pump to the hydraulic oil cooler, and a controller controlling an engine to increase an engine speed of the engine when a first detector detects timing to switch the switch valve from the second oil channel to the first oil channel and a second detector detects that the engine is running at idle.

    Abstract: A vehicle speed control system operable to cause a vehicle to operate in accordance with a target speed value, the system being further operable automatically to control cross-axle locking means of an axle of the vehicle to cause an increase in resistance to relative rotation of wheels of the axle. Thus, the speed control system may be operable automatically to command the cross-axle locking means to increase the resistance to relative rotation of wheels of the axle without a driver being required to intervene to command assumption of this condition.

    Abstract: A braking control module includes a housing with at least one fluid line disposed within the housing. First and second inlet ports are each in communication with the fluid line or electronic input. Additionally, a linear actuator is in fluidic communication with the fluid line for controlling pressure in the at least one fluid line. A processor controls operation of the linear actuator. The braking control module further includes at least one outlet port in fluidic communication with the fluid line and connectable to a brake. The braking system also includes a tandem, single or electronic master cylinder having a first bore defining a first volume and an optional second bore defining a second volume. First and second pistons are connectable to a brake pedal and in connection with the first inlet port and the second inlet port, respectively, or in electronic communication with the EBS unit.

    Abstract: A vehicle system comprises a brake system comprising a brake pedal and a braking mechanism configured to apply a braking force to a vehicle, and a vehicle control unit operable to automatically stop an engine when the vehicle is decelerated to a given vehicle speed or less during traveling. When it is detected that the brake pedal is manipulated and the vehicle is stopped after automatically stopping the engine, the vehicle control unit is operable to control the braking mechanism to increase the braking force from a current value according to a manipulation amount of the brake pedal up to a given value.

    Abstract: A method for operating a brake system of a motor vehicle includes actuating a first actuating device of the brake system, exerting an electromechanical braking force to decelerate the motor vehicle in an event of a fault in the hydraulic braking device and when the first actuating device is actuated, and generating the electromechanical braking force after a start of the actuation of the first actuating device for a minimum generation period and/or generating the electromechanical braking force after an end of the actuation of the first actuating device for an additional continued generation period. The brake system includes a hydraulic braking device, an electromechanical braking device, and a first actuating device, in particular a brake pedal.

    Abstract: A vehicle controller applies a braking force to wheels using a hydraulic braking force generating mechanism and sets a vehicle driving torque, which is generated by an engine, to a second torque which is smaller than a first torque in a normal state, when a switch is switched to an ON state in a state in which a vehicle is traveling and an accelerator is turned on. Then vehicle stops, the vehicle controller implements an EPB mechanical operating state using a mechanical parking brake mechanism. When the switch is switched to an OFF state, the vehicle controller maintains the EPB mechanical operating state until an accelerator pedal operating level reaches “0,” and maintains the vehicle driving torque at the second torque. Then the accelerator pedal operating level reaches “0”, the EPB mechanical operating state is released and the vehicle driving torque is returned to the first torque.
