Abstract:
An automatic dishwashing method or automatic textile washing method uses a cleaning-agent including: a) a liquid cleaning-agent preparation A including at least one bleach activator as well as at least one builder; and b) a liquid cleaning-agent preparation D including at least one oxygen bleaching agent. The cleaning-agent preparations A and D are dispensed into the interior of the machine from a cartridge located in the interior of the machine. Sub-quantities a and d of the cleaning-agent preparations A and D are respectively dispensed into the interior of the machine, residual quantity of the cleaning-agent preparations A and D remaining in the cartridge until the end of the washing method, the residual quantities corresponding to at least twice the sub-quantities a and d, respectively.
Abstract:
Perfect Gym Towel is a multi-purpose towel to be used during exercise activities. More specifically, the Perfect Gym Towel comprises one side having a fabric sheet for absorbing sweat of a user and a second side comprising an anti-bacterial barrier to be placed on gym equipment during exercise activities or when resting the gym towel during periods of non-use. The antibacterial barrier comprises a rubber-based material, such as an artificial elastomer comprising a polymer, providing a resistant surface. These layers in combination create a usable towel with a water resistant barrier to protect the user from contaminates like germs, sweat, and solvents that are left behind on gym equipment (by other users) which can be absorbed into a traditional gym towel. Perfect Gym Towel is a towel option that can be appreciated by virtually all gym-goers for its cleanliness and protection that the product affords.
Abstract:
A detergent dispensing cap for pre-treating a stained fabric. The cap can have a pour volume sized and dimensioned to provide for a unit dose of the detergent composition. A portion of the cap can be provided with surface irregularities for scrubbing a stain.
Abstract:
A laundry machine and a control method thereof are provided in which laundering ability may be improved while also improving efficiency and noise/vibration. The laundry machine employs a plurality of drum motions by varying drum rotational speed, drum rotational direction, and drum starting and stopping point, to provide different motion of laundry items in the drum.
Abstract:
A method of revitalizing a fabric in a laundry treating appliance by applying a processing aid to the fabric and reducing the fluid content of the fabric.
Abstract:
A clothes washer is provided comprising one or more power consuming functions and a controller in signal communication with an associated utility. The controller can receive and process a signal from the associated utility indicative of current state of an associated utility. The controller operates the clothes washer in one of a plurality of operating modes, including at least a normal operating mode and an energy savings mode in response to the received signal. The controller is configured to change the power consuming functions by adjusting one or more of an operation schedule, an operation delay, an operation adjustment, and a selective deactivation of at least one of the one or more power consuming functions to reduce power consumption of the clothes washer in the energy savings mode.
Abstract:
A fabric treatment appliance comprises a steam generator having a chamber configured to hold water; a supply conduit configured to transport water to the steam generator chamber; a temperature sensor configured to sense a temperature representative of the steam generator chamber at a predetermined water level in the steam generator chamber; and a controller coupled to the temperature sensor and configured to control flow of water through the supply conduit based on the sensed temperature to control the level of water in the steam generator chamber. The disclosure provides methods of water supply control that can employ the temperature sensor.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a method for stabilization of the perhydrolase activity of the CE-7 esterase in a formulation with a carboxylic acid ester that employs the addition of a buffering agent, substantially undissolved, to the mixture of the CE-7 esterase and the carboxylic acid ester. Further, disinfectant and laundry care formulations comprising the peracids produced by the processes described herein are provided.
Abstract:
The invention provides fungal polypeptides from Trichoderma reesei that possess anti-microbial activity, polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides, compositions comprising the polypeptides and polynucleotides, and methods of use, thereof.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method and formulation for cleaning a soiled substrate, the method comprising the treatment of the moistened substrate with a formulation comprising a multiplicity of polymeric particles, wherein the formulation is free of organic solvents. Preferably, the substrate is wetted so as to achieve a substrate to water ratio of between 1:0.1 to 1:5 w/w. Optionally, the formulation additionally comprises at least one cleaning material and, in this embodiment, it is preferred that the polymeric particles are coated with the at least one cleaning material. Preferably, the cleaning material comprises a surfactant, which most preferably has detergent properties. Most preferably, the substrate comprises a textile fibre. Typically, the polymeric particles comprise particles of nylon, most preferably in the form of nylon chips. The results obtained are very much in line with those observed when carrying out conventional dry cleaning processes and the method provides the significant advantage that the use of solvents, with all the attendant drawbacks in terms of cost and environmental considerations, can be avoided.
