Abstract:
A ceramic member containing an insulating member is disclosed. The ceramic member comprises a ceramic body and an insulating layer on the ceramic body. The ceramic body contains aluminum oxide crystals and aluminum titanate crystals. The insulating layer contains silicon oxide as a main component. The ceramic body includes a first region that includes a first surface portion covered by the insulating layer, and a second region outside the first region, and having a surface resistivity of 1×106 to 1×109Ω/□. A surface resistivity of the first region is higher than the surface resistivity of the second region.
Abstract:
A partial-discharge-resistant insulating varnish has a polyamide-imide enamel varnish and an organo-silica sol that are dispersed in a solvent. The solvent has 50 to 100% by weight of γ-butyrolactone. An insulated wire has a conductor, and a partial-discharge-resistant insulation coating film formed on the surface of the conductor. The partial-discharge-resistant insulation coating film is made of the partial-discharge-resistant insulating varnish.
Abstract:
A bus bar assembly includes a first main conductor, a second main conductor, and an insulator member provided between the main conductors. The insulator member includes: (i) an insulator component, (ii) a first conductor layer provided on the top surface of the insulator component, and (iii) a second conductor layer provided on the bottom surface of the insulator component, wherein the first conductor layer includes an outer edge around a perimeter thereof, wherein the outer edge is located at least a certain distance from the outer edge around the perimeter of the insulator component, wherein the second conductor layer includes an outer edge around a perimeter thereof, wherein the outer edge is located at least the same certain distance from the outer edge of the insulator component, and wherein the certain distance is sufficient to cause the bus bar assembly to satisfy the creepage requirement of the assembly.

A hydrous water absorbent polymer dispersed ultraviolet curable resin composition includes an ultraviolet curable resin composition, and a hydrous water absorbent polymer swollen by water beforehand, and dispersed in the ultraviolet curable resin composition so that the hydrous water absorbent polymer dispersed ultraviolet curable resin composition has a moisture content of not less than 50 percent. The water absorption rate of the ultraviolet curable resin composition is not more than 2 percent.
Abstract:
Fibers may be intertwined to form cables for headsets and other structures. The cables may include wires. The wires may be surrounded by a jacket formed from intertwined fibers. The intertwined fibers may include fibers with different melting temperatures. The jacket may be heated to a temperature that is sufficient to melt some of the fibers in the jacket without melting other fibers in the jacket. The melted fibers may flow into spaces between the unmelted fibers and may serve as a binder that holds together the unmelted fibers. The intertwining process may be used to form a bifurcation for a headset. A dipping process may be used to cover the jacket with a coating. The coating may be formed over the entire length of the cable or may be formed in a particular portion of the cable such as the portion of the cable that includes the bifurcation.
Abstract:
A cardiac transvenous defibrillation lead has a continuous coil conductor within a layer of insulation. A portion of the coil conductor is exposed as a defibrillation electrode. In order to enhance fluoroscopic visualization of the exposed electrode during implant, the end of the exposed electrode is marked with a radiopaque element. The element may be in the form of an adhesive filled with radiopaque material that is used to backfill under the layer of insulation. Alternatively, a tube made of radiopaque material may be installed between the layer of insulation and the coil conductor.
Abstract:
A high conductivity wire and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The high conductivity wire includes three or more conducting wires. In the method, conducting wires cross each other and are coiled regularly and three dimensionally. The conducting wires are coated with an insulating material.
Abstract:
An electric wire whose outer surface has a portion to be colored as required is manufactured by forming a plurality of recesses on the portion of the outer surface of the electric wire, which has a core wire and an insulating jacket that covers an entire periphery of the core wire, and then applying a coloring material to the portion of the outer surface of the electric wire. The recesses may be provided by blowing abrasive grains against the portion or by pricking the portion with one or more needles.
Abstract:
A flat cable having at least two conductor planes, in which a number of electrical conductors running in the longitudinal direction of the cable are arranged, in which the electrical conductors in the flat cable thickness direction and/or in the flat cable width direction are kept at a defined distance from each other by means of a central insulation layer of predetermined thickness acting as a spacer insulator and are electrically insulated and positioned relative to each other and to the flat cable exterior by means of an outer insulation layer.
