摘要: A fuel pump driving module used for supplying fuel from a fuel tank to a fuel cell—and more particularly, a driving module for a diaphragm pump, and a fuel cell system equipped with the same—includes a pump controller for generating an ON/OFF signal and a reference pulse to a pump; and a pump driving pulse generation unit for combining the reference pulse according to a predetermined rule to determine a frequency and a duty ratio of the pump driving pulse and activating the pump driving pulse according to the ON/OFF signal to the pump. The pump driving module may be useful to commonly apply a single pump driving module to various manufacturers' fuel pumps, thereby to reduce the fabricating cost of the fuel cell system.

摘要: Disclosed is a fuel feeder housing having a mixing tank and a carbon dioxide remover supporting operation of a fuel cell are formed as a single body. A peripheral module having the fuel feeder housing and a pump are modularized, thereby consulting the compactness and the light weight and enhancing the efficiency of the fuel cell. The fuel feeder housing is coupled to a fuel cartridge storing hydrogen-containing fuel and to a fuel cell that generates electricity through an electrochemical reaction between the fuel and an oxidant. The fuel feeder includes a base member in which a chamber for recycling unreacted fuel discharged from the fuel cell and first and second connecting portions for flowing fluid in and out the chamber therethrough are internally formed as a single body and a gas-liquid separator installed in an opening of the chamber and discharging gas from the chamber.

摘要: A fuel cell including a absorbing member is provided to improve performance and reliability of the fuel cell. The fuel cell includes an electricity generation unit and a medium member. The electricity generation unit includes a fuel supply unit, and a membrane electrode assembly (MEA), absorbing member, and air supply unit. A fuel is supplied through the medium member, and air is supplied through the air supply unit. During oxidation/reduction reaction between a fuel and air, condensed moisture or water is produced inside fuel cell, and the condensed moisture can block path of air flow into the fuel cell. In order to solve this problem, absorbing member is disposed between the membrane electrode assembly and the air supply unit. The absorbing member effectively absorbs moisture and blocking of air flow path by the moisture is prevented.

摘要: The present invention relates to a direct oxidation fuel cell system including at least one electricity generating element including at least one membrane-electrode assembly which includes an anode and a cathode on opposite sides of a polymer electrolyte membrane, and a separator. The direct oxidation fuel cell generates electricity through an electrochemical reaction of a fuel and an oxidant. An oxidant supplier supplies the electricity generating element with the oxidant. A fuel supplier supplies the anode with a combination of fuel and hydrogen to provide improved power output.

摘要: There is provided a stack of a fuel cell system in which one or more electricity generators including separators disposed at both sides of a membrane-electrode assembly are stacked, the stack comprising heat releasing means for releasing heat generated from the electricity generators. The heat releasing means have different heat release rates depending on the positions of the associated electricity generators in the stack. In particular, the heat releasing means associated with the electricity generators located near the center of the stack have a higher heat release rate in order to maintain a more even temperature gradient across the stack.
