Abstract: An automobile interior component obtained using a specific polyacetal resin composition which allows for stable suppression of the generation of mold deposits during molding at elevated temperatures, and the reduction of the amount of formaldehyde generated from a molded article to an extremely low level, as well as the prevention of the bleed-out of an added component from the molded article, and the retention of a favorable appearance of the molded article. The automobile interior component is obtained using a polyacetal resin composition containing, at least 100 parts by mass of a polyacetal polymer (A); 0.03 to 0.30 parts by mass of a hindered phenol antioxidant (B); 0.01 to 0.50 parts by mass of an aliphatic carboxylic acid hydrazide (C); 0.001 to 0.50 parts by mass of a hydantoin compound having two hydrazinocarbonylalkyl groups (D); and 0.001 to 0.30 parts by mass of an alkaline earth metal salt of an aliphatic carboxylic acid (E), and the total amount of the components (C) and (D) is 0.03 to 0.55 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyacetal polymer (A).

Abstract: A powdery liquid-crystal resin for a press-molded article is disclosed having a bulk density of more than 0.05 g/cm3 and 0.5 g/cm3 or less. The powdery liquid-crystal resin preferably has a particle diameter distribution width as defined by JIS Z8825: 2013 of 3.0 or more and 12 or less. The powdery liquid-crystal resin preferably has an average particle diameter of 10 μm or more and 300 μm or less. The degree of crystallinity of the powdery liquid-crystal resin is preferably 20% or more and 70% or less.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for improving alkaline solution resistance of a thermoplastic resin by blending an aromatic polyvalent carboxylic acid ester into the thermoplastic resin. Preferably, 1 to 15 parts by mass of the aromatic polyvalent carboxylic acid ester are blended with respect to 100 parts by mass of the thermoplastic resin. Additionally, an aromatic polyvalent carboxylic acid ester can be used for improving alkaline solution resistance of a thermoplastic resin. An alkaline solution resistance improving agent is also disclosed for a thermoplastic resin, the alkaline solution resistance improving agent containing an aromatic polyvalent carboxylic acid ester.

Abstract: A method for producing a polyacetal resin composition which allows for suppression of formaldehyde generation from a molded article to an extremely low level, and stable suppression of mold deposits during molding. The polyacetal resin composition contains: 100 parts by mass of a polyacetal polymer (A); 0.01 to 0.50 parts by mass of an aliphatic carboxylic acid hydrazide (B); 0.001 to 0.50 parts by mass of a hydantoin compound having two hydrazinocarbonylalkyl groups (C); and 0.001 to 0.30 parts by mass of an alkaline earth metal salt of aliphatic carboxylic acid (D), wherein the total amount of the components (B) and (C) with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyacetal polymer (A) is 0.03 to 0.55 parts by mass, and wherein the polyacetal polymer (A) is a polyacetal copolymer obtained by copolymerizing trioxane as a principal monomer (a) with a cyclic ether having at least one carbon-carbon bond as a comonomer (b) using a heteropolyacid represented by general formula (1) as a polymerization catalyst (c) to obtain a reaction product, and subsequently adding a carbonate of an alkali metal element or alkaline earth metal element (d) to the reaction product to deactivate the polymerization catalyst (c).

Abstract: Provided is a polybutylene terephthalate resin composition which has further improved fluidity (melt fluidity) while maintaining mechanical characteristics. Abstract: A polyacetal resin composition makes it possible, when formed into a molded article, to minimize deterioration during contact with sulfur-containing fuel or an acidic detergent. The polyacetal resin composition contains (A) 100 parts by weight of polyacetal resin, (B) 0.1-1.0 parts by weight of hindered phenolic antioxidant, (C) 0.1-2.0 parts by weight of alkaline earth metal oxide, (D) 0.5-3.0 parts by weight of polyalkylene glycol, and (E) 0.01-1.0 parts by weight of polyvalent fatty acid full ester. This polyacetal resin composition minimizes reductions in the weight of a molded article even after the molded article has been immersed in sulfur-containing fuel.

Abstract: A polyacetal resin composition which is suppressed low in formaldehyde generation, while having high stiffness and high toughness. The resin is produced by a method including blending from 0.1 part by weight to 2 parts by weight (inclusive) of a polyacetal copolymer having a branched or crosslinked structure, which is a copolymer of a trioxane, a compound having from 3 to 4 (inclusive) cyclic ether units in each molecule and a compound having one cyclic ether unit in each molecule, per 100 parts by weight of a linear polyacetal copolymer which contains an oxymethylene unit as a main constituent, while containing, as a comonomer unit, an oxyalkylene unit at a ratio of from 0.4% by mole to 0.9% by mole (inclusive) relative to the constituents of the linear polyacetal copolymer, the linear polyacetal copolymer being obtained by copolymerization wherein a heteropolyacid or the like is used as a polymerization catalyst.
