Further, each of the one or more bending actuators includes an insulating layer disposed on at least one of the at least two layers of bending elements. Further, each of the one or more bending actuators includes a sensing element disposed on the insulating layer.
Abstract:
Managing of constraint-based violations in a Product Data Management (PDM) environment is provided. A method for managing constraint-based violations associated with a product in a PDM system includes obtaining a set of constraints defined for a product from a product database. Constraints that are conflicting with requirement data associated with the product are determined from the set of constraints, and the constraints are grouped into a plurality of logical groups. Each of the logical groups is associated with an independent violation. One or more solutions corresponding to each independent violation are computed based on the logical groups, and conflicts between the constraints and the requirement data corresponding to each independent violation based on the corresponding one or more solutions are resolved.
Abstract:
A method of controlling a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system and a communication device in the UE are provided. The method including determining whether a first waiting time related to a call interruption event in a first call mode is exceeded; if the first waiting time is exceeded, transmitting a Session Initiation Protocol information (SIP INFO) message for switching the first call mode to a second call mode to an external device; and switching a call mode of the UE to the second call mode based on a response message in response to the SIP INFO message.
Abstract:
A method of producing a purified tin, which emits low alpha radiation by using a vacuum refining has developed: the steps are comprising: preparing a crude tin; containing the crude tin in a crucible and placing it in a vacuum furnace; and removing the impurities, which have higher vapor pressures and low boiling points than that of the tin from the vacuum furnace. The impurities, such as a lead and bismuth can be removed as much as possible by utilizing the difference of the vapor pressure of the elements in the tin. It is possible to minimize the emission of alpha radiation, so that it can be prevented the occurrence of the software errors.
Abstract:
Dynamically-lubricated bearings and methods of dynamically lubricating bearings, including bearings used in gas turbine engines. Such a bearing includes an inner race having an inner race groove between a pair of inner race cage lands, an outer race having an outer race groove between a pair of outer race cage lands and opposes the inner race groove, rolling elements disposed between the inner and outer races and in rolling contact with the inner and outer race grooves, and a cage disposed between the inner and outer races to maintain separation between the rolling elements. A lubricant is introduced into a cavity between the inner and outer races, and rotation of the inner race relative to the outer race causes the lubricant to exit the cavity through recessed surface features in at least one of the inner and outer race cage lands.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to child-resistant closures, and more particularly to child-resistant closures with multiple caps, engaged by two oppositely acting locking system, which offer advantages over the prior art by enabling easier opening, yet remains child-resistant.
Abstract:
The disclosure generally describes computer-implemented methods, software, and systems for allowing model-based backend services adaptations of business objects. One computer-implemented method includes receiving, at a generic interface associated with at least one backend application, a request for data from a particular backend application, identifying a service for execution associated with the received request based at least in part on the received request, identifying a configuration entry associated with the identified service in a configuration table, where the configuration entry defines a set of access-related information associated with at least one business object associated with the backend application, and requesting data from a business logic layer of the backend application based, at least in part, on the access-related information associated with the at least one business object.
Abstract:
A server includes a central processing unit and electronic memory communicatively coupled to the central processing unit. The memory stores a dynamically tunable operating system kernel that includes at least one tunable implemented as a plurality of states. Each application managed by the operating system is assigned to one of these states according to a permission level association with the application. Each state defines a range of automated tuning of the tunable that is authorized to applications assigned to the state.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods of cleaning a lipseal and/or cup bottom of an electroplating device by removing metal deposits accumulated in prior electroplating operations. The methods may include orienting a nozzle such that it is pointed substantially at the inner circular edge of the lipseal and/or cup bottom, and dispensing a stream of cleaning solution from the nozzle such that the stream contacts the inner circular edge of the lipseal and/or cup bottom while they are being rotated, removing metal deposits. In some embodiments, the stream has a velocity component against the rotational direction of the lipseal and/or cup bottom. In some embodiments, the deposits may include a tin/silver alloy. Also disclosed herein are cleaning apparatuses for mounting in electroplating devices and for removing electroplated metal deposits from their lipseals and/or cup bottoms. In some embodiments, the cleaning apparatuses may include a jet nozzle.
Abstract:
A technique for preventing power interruptions and extending backup power life is provided. The technique automatically prevents power interruptions in a line between a power source and a load. The technique can also extend the operating life of the power source. In one embodiment, a circuit for preventing power interruptions is provided. The circuit may include at least one arrays of capacitors, with the capacitors being arranged in parallel within an array, at least one switching elements configured to couple the at least one array of capacitors to a load, and a controller operatively coupled to the at least one switching element. The controller is configured to selectively drive the at least one switching element based on predetermined criteria.
