摘要: A system and method for handling data received from an implantable medical device (IMD) is provided. The method includes communicating a device parameter value of an IMD device parameter from the IMD to an external device and determining, at the external device, that the communicated device parameter value is at an improper value. Additionally, in response to the determining that the communicated device parameter value is at an improper value, automatically performing at least one of re-programming the IMD device parameter with a selected substitute device parameter value, ignoring, or purging non-programmable data.

摘要: A method, system, and business model are disclosed for supporting handover between a mobile host and a corresponding node located in a heterogeneous network. Handover paths are established to accommodate a plurality of quality of service properties. Admission control is performed that considers the established handover paths and an established first reservation path. Gateways are contacted to determine a handover path to use. The determined handover path is used to support vertical handover. A second reservation path is established while maintaining the first reservation path and the handover path.

摘要: In a multiservice wireless communication system according to the present invention, a location manager 47 of a multiservice terminal 140 detects its own position with a GPS receiver interface 49. The location manager sends the detected positional information to a management server 110 via a common-signaling wireless network base station 100 in which respective multiple service zones serviced by multiple wireless systems overlap in a common-signaling wireless zone and acquires information on available wireless systems as a response to that. A network selecting section 44 selects a wireless system that most matches selecting conditions from the acquired available wireless systems and performs communication via the interfaces 40 and 41 that operate the selected wireless system.

摘要: A monitor for determining the operation condition of at least one cable that suffers bending and/or twisting and constitutes an electrical loop and a method thereof are provided. The monitor comprises a test electrical signal generator (5) for generating an identifiable test electrical signal and injecting the test electrical signal into the first point of the at least one cable, a test electrical signal filter (7) adapting to extract the injected test electrical signal from the second point of the at least one cable, and a comparator (8) for comparing a predetermined threshold with the difference between the electrical state of the injected test electrical signal and the extracted test electrical signal and producing a warning signal indicating cable fatigue when the difference exceeds the predetermined threshold. It provides the advantages as follows: it only monitors the electric performance, not the mechanical performance of a cable; it monitors the cable itself rather than a monitor material; it is applicable to all kinds of cables, including but not limited to a large-current cable; it does not introduce new cables; it is an on-line monitoring, i.e. the electro-mechanical system needs no pause for monitoring its cable fatigue.
