Abstract: Frames in a variable length frame format which are addressed to a plurality of users are multiplexed and preferably transmitted. Data frames having different lengths are multiplexed on a same time through space division multiple access, but since the multiplexed frames are transmitted while eventually having a same length, when the multiplexed data frames from the access point STA0 are received in the respective communication stations STA1 to STA3 in FIG. 4 or when data simultaneously transmitted from the respective communication stations STA1 to STA3 are received in the access point STA0 in FIG. 5, it is possible to eliminate an operation instability of AGC.

Abstract: A user device is arranged to transmit and receive data via a wireless access interface including a plurality of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing subcarriers extending across a first bandwidth. The user device is configured to receive one or more signals repeatedly transmitted across a second bandwidth and not across subcarriers of a first bandwidth outside of the second bandwidth, store second signals in a memory. The user device is further configured to combine the stored second signals to generate a combined signal, detect the user device payload data from the combined signal based on an indication of the second bandwidth when the user device indication, and when the user device fails to detect the indication, accumulate three consecutive subframes of the signals received across the second bandwidth, and detect the user device payload data from the combined signal based on information included in the three consecutive subframes.

Communications devices of different capabilities can be allocated communications resources within different frequency ranges according to their capability, which can relieve congestion on a centre frequency of communications resources in which communications devices with a minimum bandwidth capability must receive communications resources for receiving down link signals.
