摘要: A system for equalizing a pressure in an ionization chamber of a radiation device is provided. The system may include the ionization chamber including: a chamber housing including one or more chamber walls; a chamber volume inside the chamber housing, the chamber volume being filled with a radiation sensitive material; and a pressure adjustment apparatus operably coupled to the chamber volume via at least one wall of the one or more chamber walls, the pressure adjustment apparatus being configured to equalize a first pressure of the radiation sensitive material inside the chamber volume and a second pressure of ambient air outside the chamber housing.

摘要: A thermal expansion compensating device has a conduit with a first opening and a second opening for connection to a first pipe and a second pipe of a hot water system, respectively, the first and second pipes being formed by removing a section from a length of pipe of the hot water system. A pre-tensioning force is applied to the device to axially displace the first opening from the second opening until after connection of the openings of the pipes. A resiliently deformable pipe segment defines a portion of the conduit between the first opening and the second opening and is resiliently deformed to a tensioned position by the application of the pre-tensioning force. Once the hot water system is activated, the pipes axially thermally expand such that the first opening moves towards the second opening and the pipe segment moves from the tensioned position towards a rest position decreasing the stress on the device.

摘要: A sealing assembly creating a sealed flow path between fluid ducts. The seal assembly comprises a housing and a tubular element within the housing providing a fluid conduit between the fluid ducts. Two sealing elements each have an internal sealing face sealably engaged with the tube and an external face for sealing, in use, with a respective fluid duct. At least one of the sealing elements is slidable with respect to the tubes. A support is slidably retained by the housing, surrounds one end of the tube and supports one of the slidable sealing elements on the side of the sealing element opposite to its external face. A resilient element within the housing biases the support so as to urge the two sealing elements apart.

摘要: A pipe coupling includes a rigid cylindrical member, a flexible cylindrical member and a hose clamp. The flexible cylindrical member includes a central tubular member within the rigid cylindrical member. A flexible sleeve extends beyond the rigid cylindrical member and has an inside diameter that is complimentary to a pipe. The sleeve has a first position in which the sleeve is folded back onto the rigid cylindrical member and a second position in which the sleeve is unfolded so as to envelope an end of the first pipe. The central tubular member includes a ledge that has an inside diameter corresponding to an inside diameter of the pipe.

摘要: A flexible conduit insulated to prevent unwanted heat transfer. The conduit is insulated by a jacket-like component that creates a space between the conduit and the jacket, where the gap can be filled with air or some other insulating material. The jacket is sealed to the flexible conduit by sealing components that are configured to slide along end cap portions of the flexible conduit. Because the conduit is flexible, it can couple two other conduits that move relative to one another such that fluid can flow from one area to another via the flexible conduit.

摘要: A pipeline support for use in severe geological conditions such as permafrost provides stability, strength and immovability of the pipeline support under relatively high pressure and that that allows an adjustment of a height or slope of the pipeline support. A method of using the support includes controlling the height or slope angle of the support during operation of the pipeline support. A spool of the support is installed and fixed on two support axes that are transverse beams installed in support frames and that can be moved along with the support spool. After that, movable power-operated mechanisms are positioned under each support axis. These mechanisms lift or lower the spool and support axes to the desired height and slope. The support axes are then fixed in frames at the desired height and spool slope angle.
