A dynamic broadcast system as well as a terminal and a control device for use in such a dynamic broadcast system are presented. Transmission parameters, transmission times and transmission paths used for broadcasting and providing content, either via a broadcast network or a broadband network to terminals used in the dynamic broadcast system are dynamically controlled. Further, a decision logic is provided that dynamically decides transmission parameters, transmission times and transmission paths used for broadcasting and providing content based on monitoring data carrying information on user specific content usage and/or transmission quality data carrying information on the quality of a transmission link between a broadband server and a terminal and/or of a reception of content broadcast by a broadcast transmitter.

An information processing apparatus determines based on this application destination descriptor whether or not the application is an application for its own device or an application for an external device. If the application is the application for the external device, the information processing apparatus transfers the application to the external device to start it.

A network host is to transmit an audio watermark not only to connect with multiple devices but also to set the multiple devices as a specific group. The invention comprises following steps: connecting at least one multimedia device with the network host, transmitting the audio watermark which may comprise certification from the network host to the at least one multimedia device, the at least one multimedia device broadcasting the audio watermark, the at least one electronic device receiving the audio watermark and afterward transmitting the audio watermark or the certification to the network host, the network host recognizing the audio watermark or the certification and afterward setting the at least one multimedia device and the at least one electronic device as the specific group, transmitting at least one datum from the network host to the specific group.

We have disclosed an enhanced radio system that provides for the capture and playback of one or more radio stations. The user may tune to a station, or scan through stations, rewind to hear what was missed, and fast-forward through undesired content. The system allows a user to rate content, and to be notified when that content is being played on any station. The system may make radio station recommendations. The system allows the user to respond easily to radio content, download audio content, and send radio content to another user. The system may provide other radio related and radio content related information. The system may provide a karaoke mode. The system may also allow the user to integrate a telephone with the radio. The system may report usage information to a collection facility.

A method of processing a broadcast signal including a Non-Real Time (NRT) service, the method comprises receiving and processing a signaling information table including access information of the NRT service, receiving and storing data of the NRT service based on the signaling information table in non-real time, extracting access information of additional information relating to the NRT service from the signaling information table, and downloading the additional information relating to the NRT service based on the extracted access information.

A disclosed example method includes receiving audio output by a first media presentation device, obtaining at least one of a Nielsen code or an Arbitron® code from the audio, the obtained code being representative of at least one of the first media content or a broadcaster of the first media content, obtaining second media content based on the extracted code, and presenting the second media content on a second media presentation device different from the first media presentation device.
