Methods and products for ensuring that incoming voicemails are stored on a voicemail server are provided. One embodiment of a method includes receiving an incoming voicemail that is to be stored in connection with a user account, determining that a threshold capacity of storage allocation associated with storing the voicemail has been crossed; identifying a mobile device associated with the user account, and moving a given amount of data from the storage location to the mobile device.
Abstract:
The present disclosure discloses a method, a device, and a mobile terminal for performing automatic recording. The method comprises: obtaining content of an ongoing call; performing a recording operation on the content of the ongoing call, and saving a recording of the content of the ongoing call in a predefined region of a system ring buffer. The technical solutions provided in the present disclosure solve the problems of troublesome manual recording adjustments and excessive waste of system resources arising from recording valueless call content, thereby improving user experience.
Abstract:
An apparatus for context-based contact information management may include a processor. The processor may be configured to receive contact information and associated sender-based context information. In this regard, the contact information and sender-based context information may have been transmitted from a sending device. The processor may also be configured to associate receiver-based context information with the contact information and identify a historical context within a historical multi-dimensional context environment based at least in part on the sender-based context information and the receiver-based context information. Further, the processor may be configured to link the contact information to the historical context. Associated methods and computer program products may also be provided.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for tracking, reconciling, and reporting on data representing Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) tones and voice signals communicated between call center and users during interactions therebetween. The system may include a data store adapted to store the DTMF data and a text corresponding to the voice data; a transcription process receiving data representing the voice signal and converting it into corresponding text; a report generation process obtaining the DTMF data and the text, transmitting a report containing the same to a client, and updating the date store accordingly; and a reconciliation process receiving data enabling reconciliation of data as tracked by the call center and as tracked by an entity other than the call center. The transcription process may operate as a third-party or an in-house entity relative to the at least one call center.

A computer receiving a selected time period in which a user of a messaging program will not be able to access electronic messages through the messaging program. The computer estimating, by one or more computer processors, an amount of storage space required to store electronic messages received during the selected time period. The computer determining, by one or more computer processors, that an unused portion of storage space allocated to the user is less than the estimated storage space required. The computer notifying the user that the unused portion of storage space allocated to the user is less than the estimated storage space required.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for sending marketing messages to mobile-device users from a mobile-commerce platform are described. In various illustrative embodiments, a marketing message is transmitted to a mobile-device user before, during, or after a transaction between the mobile-device user's mobile device and the mobile-commerce platform. The marketing message can be generated and timed based on rules input to the mobile-commerce platform by a merchant and can be based on historical transaction data associated with the mobile-device user, transaction parameters associated with a current or a most-recently-completed transaction involving the mobile-device user, a transaction type of a current or a most-recently-completed transaction involving the mobile-device user, or a combination thereof, depending on the particular embodiment.

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, by a directory service, a call from a user of a mobile phone requesting a number of a communication device associated with a callee. The number is then retrieved from a database by the directory service and then dialed to connect the mobile phone with the communication device. The directory service also sends the number to the mobile phone, the mobile phone being configured to store the number in a storage location. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure.

A system for enabling multi-modal bookmarks comprises a bookmark repository coupled to two browsers. A user bookmarks content using a first browser, and a bookmark is stored in the bookmark repository. The user subsequently uses a second browser and requests that the bookmark be de-referenced to point the second browser to the bookmarked content. The second browser accesses the bookmark in the content repository and is directed to the bookmarked content. The first and second browsers may be visual and voice browsers that render Wireless Markup Language (WML) and Voice Extensible Markup Language (VXML) content, respectively, wherein a mapping is provided that links a given piece of visual content to an equivalent piece of voice content.

An apparatus such as a tool for testing lines at a network distribution cabinet allows the connection to the network of subscriber twisted pairs. The apparatus includes inputs for the connection of probes adapted to contact pairs of connection terminals of the distribution cabinet for the connection of the subscriber twisted pairs; a line test unit adapted to perform tests on the lines under the control of a programmable control unit; at least one memory for storing the results of the tests. The control unit is adapted to automatically perform a test of the lines terminating at the distribution cabinet according to a predetermined sequence, and to store the results of the test in a structured form in which a unique association is established between a physical position of each pair of terminal clamps in the distribution cabinet and the results of the test conducted on the corresponding lines.

An intelligent abbreviated dialing feature can use a portion of a phone number as a shortcut to dialing. Any portion of a phone number can be input into a communications device such as by pressing buttons on the keypad or speaking into a microphone. A processor in the communications device or on a network accessible by the communications device can generate the phone number register from frequently dialed numbers. The processor can compare the input into the communications device against the phone number register. For each digit of the phone number that is input into the communications device, the processor can search the phone numbers and provide search results with the corresponding numbers. A phone number can be selected from the search results and dialed.
