The medium includes at least a polymer consisting of several polymeric segments. The polymer is of the irregular block-copolymer or irregular comb-like polymer type and has on the average at least three junction points between polymeric segments of different chemical or topological nature. The medium may be used in methods for analyzing, purifying or separating species and methods for treating an element to be contacted with a fluid and/or species contained in the fluid during preservation, transport, analysis, purification or separation of the fluid.

The invention concerns a composition made from at least one sulphated polysaccharide, in particular from an algae, and combined with at least one food ingredient. This composition can be used, in particular, in the field of food or in the treatment or prevention of an infection caused by microsporidia in humans or animals. It has useful properties as an antiparasitic agent in humans or animals; for the treatment or prevention of an infection caused by at least one microsporidia in humans or animals; in particular for the treatment or prevention of an infection caused in bees by the microsporidia Nosema, preferably Nosema ceranae or Nosema apis, or indeed for stimulating the immune defences of bees.
Abstract:
A static converter with parallel architecture or series architecture comprises a plurality of switching cells, arranged in parallel or in series, and controlled in a decentralized manner by associated control modules, strung together according to a loop by a series of communication links. Each control module comprises a single and different local unit for generating the triangular carrier of the module which controls the positioning of its interleaving phase as a function only of the signals of the triangular carriers of the two adjacent modules. Each control module comprises a local unit for balancing the currents of branches and/or a unit for internal regulation of the output voltage of AVP type, or a local unit for balancing the cell voltages and/or a unit for internal regulation of the input current or output current of the ACP type.
Abstract:
A method processes data for evaluating quality level of an original dataset. The original dataset is obtained from an automated sequencing of a chain of nucleotides and represents a plurality of total mapped reads. The method includes sampling of a plurality of total mapped reads of the original dataset to produce a subset of mapped reads. The method also includes computing a dispersion indicator for the subset. The dispersion indicator represents divergence between an actual read count intensity and a theoretical read count intensity. The actual read count corresponds to the number of sampled mapped reads. The theoretical read count corresponds to a theoretical number of sampled mapped reads, which does not depend on the current sampling.

Abstract:
Electrochemical cells of the present invention are versatile and include primary and secondary cells useful for a range of important applications including use in portable electronic devices. Electrochemical cells of the present invention also exhibit enhanced safety and stability relative to conventional state of the art primary lithium batteries and lithium ion secondary batteries. For example, electrochemical cells of the present invention include secondary electrochemical cells using anion charge carriers capable of accommodation by positive and negative electrodes comprising anion host materials, which entirely eliminate the need for metallic lithium or dissolved lithium ion in these systems.
