摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to percutaneous heart pumps including a self-expandable and collapsible impeller housing fabricated from a mesh of a shape memory alloy, such as nitinol, and a base polymer coating and a top polymer coating. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to highly flexible and fluid-impermissible polymer coatings having improved adherence and performance properties on the metallic surfaces of the impeller housing mesh thus improving the overall performance of the percutaneous heart pumps.

摘要: A new formulation of treatment baths for the etching of polymers prior to metallization or coating of the polymer using known technologies described in the state of the art, which are based on the use of salts and/or complexes of the Cr(III) cation, where the formulation includes a salt and/or Cr(III) complex in which the Cr(III) is coordinated to at least one or several mono, bi, tri, tetra, penta, hexadentate or bridging ligands that are coordinated to the chromium by the oxygen, sulfur or nitrogen atom or several of these atoms of the ligands, such that after the polymer piece has been etched with the Etching formulation described above, the metal coating is carried out by means of the application of chemical and electrolyte baths in the case of metallization, or by means of the application of paint or another organic coating.

摘要: The present disclosure provides sol-gel films and substrates, such as vehicle components, having a sol-gel film disposed thereon. At least one sol-gel formulation has about 10 wt % or less water content based on the total weight of the sol-gel formulation and comprises an organosilane, a metal alkoxide, an acid stabilizer, and an organic solvent. At least one vehicle component comprises a sol-gel coating system comprising a metal substrate and a sol-gel formulation disposed on the metal substrate. The sol-gel formulation has about 10 wt % or less water content based on the total weight of the sol-gel formulation and comprises an organosilane, a metal alkoxide, an acid stabilizer, and an organic solvent.

摘要: A layered tetravalent metal phosphate composition (e.g., a layered zirconium phosphate composition) and a first corrosion inhibitor (e.g., cerium (III), a vanadate, a molybdate, a tungstate, a manganous, a manganate, a permanganate, an aluminate, a phosphonate, a thiazole, a triazole, and/or an imidazole) is dispersed in an aqueous solution and stirred to form a first solution. A precipitate of the first solution is collected and washed to form a first corrosion inhibiting material (CIM), which includes the first corrosion inhibitor intercalated in the layered tetravalent metal phosphate composition. The first CIM is added to a first sol-gel composition to form a first CIM-containing sol-gel composition. The first CIM-containing sol-gel composition is applied on a substrate to form a CIM-containing sol-gel layer, cured by UV radiation, and thermally cured to form a corrosion-resistant coating. One or more additional sol-gel composition may be applied on the substrate.

摘要: The present disclosure provides methods for forming sol-gels, sol-gel films and substrates, such as vehicle components, having a sol-gel film disposed thereon. At least one method of forming a sol-gel includes mixing a metal alkoxide, an acid stabilizer, and an organic solvent to form a first mixture having about 10 wt % or less water content based on the total weight of the first mixture. The method includes mixing an organosilane with the first mixture to form a second mixture having about 10 wt % or less water content based on the total weight of the second mixture.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing a neutral barrier layer for coating the inner surface of a receptacle for holding products that are biocompatible for humans and/or animals, and to the receptacle obtained by said method. According to the invention, a solution is formed that contains at least one solvent, water, at least one complexing molecular alkoxysilane precursor, at least one surfactant, at least one pigment and/or coloring agent, and a catalytic acid, the complexed solution, which is undergoing hydrolysis and condensation, is homogeneously applied to at least one portion of the inner surface of the receptacle, the applied solution is dried at a specific drying temperature such that a layer is formed which is opaque, translucid and/or forms a particular pattern, and the receptacle is conveyed away, stored and filled with the product.

摘要: A method of treating a polycarbonate glass surface, such as a bisphenol A polycarbonate, whereby the glass surface is immersed in a liquid phase polar aprotic solvent, such as dichloromethane, and exposed to a vapor phase polar aprotic solvent, such as acetone thus obtaining a textured glass surface with a hierarchical patterned nanoporous structure wherein the textured glass surface has a higher surface hydrophobicity and a marginally reduced optical light transmittance relative to the polycarbonate glass surface prior to the immersion, the exposure, or both.
