摘要: According to teachings presented in this document, reported channel quality information, as used for controlling one or more aspects of wireless transmission, is compensated according to an aging function that depends on channel variability. In this manner, the “amount” or extent of age-based compensation applied to the channel quality feedback for a given user—e.g., a mobile station or other item of user equipment—varies as function of that user's channel conditions. More particularly, in an advantageous approach, the aging function applied to the channel quality estimates received from a given user depends on estimates of that user's channel variability. Channel quality estimates from (or generated for) a user whose channel conditions are changing very little, or at least are changing very slowly, may be aged less aggressively than those associated with a user whose channel conditions are changing more rapidly.

摘要: Systems and methods for enabling different network nodes of a network access system to share a backhaul communication link are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes: connecting a first modem to a first node of the network access system; connecting a second modem to a second node of the network access system; connecting the first modem to a first port of a splitter filter; connecting the second modem to a second port of the splitter filter; and connecting a backhaul communication link to a third port of the splitter filter, which is configured to multiplex signals transmitted by the modems onto the backhaul communication link, wherein the frequency spectrum of the signal transmitted by the first modem does not overlap substantially with the frequency spectrum of the signal transmitted by the second modem.

摘要: A device for stabilizing an elongated steel sheet when continuously transporting the steel sheet in a transport direction along a predetermined transport path. The device includes at least a first pair, a second pair and a third pair of electromagnets with at least one electromagnet on each side of the steel sheet. The electromagnets are adapted to stabilize the steel sheet with respect to the predetermined transport path. The first and second electromagnets are elongated in a direction essentially perpendicular to the transport direction. The first and second electromagnets are substantially arranged on each side of a longitudinal center line for the steel sheet. The center line is essentially parallel to the transport direction. The third electromagnet is arranged adjacent to the center line.

摘要: A device for continuous or semi-continuous casting of metal comprising a cooled mold (22) and an induction coil (10) arranged at the top end of the mold. The mold comprises in its top end a plurality of hollow, old segments (22a, 22b, 22c, 22d, 22e, 22f, 22′b, 22′c, 22′d) separated from each other by partitions (26a, 26b, 26c, 26d, 26e), which all comprise an electrically insulating barrier. Both the mold segments and the partitions are oriented essentially in the casting direction. Each hollow top end mold segment comprises a core of a mechanically supporting bar or beam (25a, 25b, 25c, 25d, 25e, 25f, 25′a, 25′b, 25′c, 25′d, 25′e, 25′f) arranged within the hollow mold segment such that it is surrounded by the hollow mold segment. The core exhibits superior mechanical properties in relation to the mold.

摘要: When planting plants and similar objects a forest vehicle (1) is used which is provided with automatic planting assemblies (13) mounted at hydraulically controlled arms (11). The vehicle (1) moves slowly forwards and the absolute geographic position thereof is determined by means of satellite signals received on the antenna (15). At the frontmost portion of the vehicle (1), on a movable arm (3) scanning device such as a georadar screen (5) is provided, which transmits radar waves having a suitable wavelength and scans the ground area in front of the vehicle (1). The georadar determines the depth of soil and obstacles to planting such as stones and stumps. From the determinations of the georadar also suitable planting places are determined and the positions thereof are stored. The planting arms (11) and their assemblies (13) are then controlled, so that during the continuous movement of the vehicle forwards the planting assemblies stand still at the determined planting places and there perform planting. Owing to the determination of the soil conditions planting can be made with a high yield and due to the automatised procedure using a minimum of man power.

摘要: A breech ring (1) in a firearm, which can be closed and opened with a screw mechanism which comprises a screw (4). The breech ring has conical threads (5) which can coact with corresponding threads on the screw. The threads of both the breech ring and the screw have sectors without threads, arranged so that the screw can be inserted into its final longitudinal displacement position and thereafter turned into coaction with the threads of the breech ring for securing of the screw in the breech ring. In the sectors without threads there are arranged counter-holding plate springs (11a, 11b, and 11c) which in coaction with a stripper achieve a counter-holding and centering function for a bag charge (18) or the like, which has been inserted into the firearm by a ramming unit behind a shell or the like, the position of which in the longitudinal direction is thereafter adjusted during the extraction of the ramming unit from the chamber of the firearm. The respective counter-holding springs then have the form of a plate spring fastened in one end which assumes a position unactuated by the screw with the aid of its own spring action, and a position actuated by the screw when it is pressed down into the sector without threads.
