Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to establish network connections for long-term evolution (LTE) and new radio (NR) radio access technologies (RATS) in non-standalone (NSA) E-UTRA-NR dual connectivity (ENDC) operation. The UE includes a multi-antenna array for data and signaling transmissions and receptions over the LTE and NR connections. The UE determines a most efficient antenna of the multi-antenna array for an operating frequency band of the LTE and NR connections, wherein the most efficient antenna is determined based on at least one performance factor for the UE when using the antenna compared to other antennas of the multi-antenna array, evaluates one or more factors for determining whether the LTE RAT or the NR RAT is to use the most efficient antenna and transmits uplink data on the most efficient antenna via either the LTE RAT or the NR RAT based on the evaluated factors.

The UE is configured to communicate over each of LTE and 5G NR and may be configured to communicate through 5G NR over each of a Sub-6GHz and a millimeter Wave (mmW) frequency band. The UE is configured to establish an ENDC connection with an enB and one or more gNBs. The UE implements intelligent transmission modification and cell measurement adjustments to mitigate overheating and reduce battery drain.

Abstract: A service device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), or other network component) can operate generate sidelink communications with peer UE devices based on PC5 unicast link to enable a direct peer-to-peer communication as part of PC5 vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications. Radio status link detection can be configured based on a keep alive (KA) coordination scheme via the PC5 unicast link to monitor a status of the PC5 unicast link. A KA timer can be configured based on the KA coordination scheme via the PC5 unicast link. The KA coordination scheme is configured to reduce redundant KA requests in the PC5 unicast link to coordinate the direct peer-to-peer communication across the PC5 unicast link.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for a wireless device to re-establish a packet data network connection. The wireless device may establish a packet data network connection via a cellular link with a cellular base station. Information identifying a bearer associated with the packet data network connection may be stored by the wireless device. The wireless device may determine whether the bearer associated with the packet data network connection is active. The packet data network connection may be released by the wireless device and the wireless device may attempt to re-establish the packet data network connection if the bearer associated with the packet data network connection is determined to not be active.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform methods for enhancement of multi-SIM devices, such as UE 106. A network may increase paging retries for known MU-SIM devices, e.g., based on an indication of capabilities from a MU-SIM device. The indication may be via a NAS registration request, an RRC capability procedure, and/or an RRC UE assistance procedure. Additionally, a network may include an indication of a paging priority to the UE. The UE may then determine a response to the page based, at least in part, on the indicated priority. Further, the UE may indicate a tune-away to the network. The indication of the tune-away may include a cause and/or duration for the tune-away and may be provided at an RRC level or a network access stratum (NAS) level.

Abstract: Computer systems and methods are described for operating a network data and analytics function (NWDAF) in a cellular core network. The NWDAF receives user equipment (UE) mobility information from a first network function of the cellular network system and receives edge application server (EAS) information from a second network function of the cellular network system. The NWDAF derives data analytics based at least in part on the UE mobility information and the edge application server information. The NWDAF receives a request for the data analytics from a third network function in the cellular network system, and provides the data analytics to the third network function.

Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to adaptively manage system information, particularly on-demand system information. A UE may receive mandatory system information from a wireless network and may determine that at least some additional, e.g., on-demand, system information would be beneficial. The UE may evaluate whether a condition is met to request the additional system information and may initiate a random access procedure to request the additional system information. If the random access procedure fails, the UE may adjust its behavior, including reselection behavior, in response to lacking the additional system information.

A cellular network element of a cellular network may receive a request to revoke authorization of a wireless device that is an element in an unmanned aerial system. The cellular network element may provide an indication to the wireless device to disconnect from any other elements of the unmanned aerial system based at least in part on the request to revoke authorization.
