摘要： A steel cord is formed by compactly twisting steel filaments together, the steel filaments including a plurality of zigzag filaments and optionally a nonzigzag filament, the zigzag filament being zigzaged two-dimensionally and made up of straight segments each extending between the zigzag peak points, the nonzigzag filament being straight. In case the cord is composed of only the zigzag filaments, the zigzag filaments include at least two kinds of zigzag filaments having different zigzag pitch lengths. In case the cord is composed of both the zigzag filaments and nonzigzag filaments, some of the zigzag and nonzigzag filaments are first loosely twisted together into a bunch, and then a plurality of bunches are twisted together into the cord. In any case, the zigzag pitch length and zigzag wave height of each zigzag filament are substantially constant along the length thereof. A Tire comprises a reinforcing layer such as a tread reinforcing belt layer, carcass, bead reinforcing layer and the like made of the above-mentioned steel cords.

摘要： The present invention is directed to bead wires which has a Cu/Sn deposit having an Sn content of 9 to 13% by weight and a Cu content of 91 to 87% by weight, in an amount of 0.65 to 0.85 g per kilogram of the wire. The present invention is also directed to rubber-coated bead wires for tires comprising the plated bead wire as mentioned above, a rubber layer formed on the bead wire from a composition comprising 100 parts of a rubber polymer, 80 to 140 parts of a carbon, 4 to 10 parts of sulfur, 0.4 to 0.9 part of a vulcanization accelerator, 10 to 7 parts of zinc oxide, and 1 to 4 parts of stearic acid, and to tires prepared by using the above-mentioned bead wires. The bead wires of the present invention have excellent adhesion between the plated bead wire and the rubber layer, so that the tires obtained using such bead wires avoid wild wires.

摘要： In a multi-layer blow molded container having a joint portion at least in the bottom portion thereof, barrier characteristics to gases such as oxygen and water vapor and liquids such as water, solvents, aqueous ammonia and salt water and interlaminar strength characteristics such as interlaminar adhesion strength, peel strength and impact strength in the content-filled state can be highly improved by blow molding a parison of a laminate structure of two or more polymer layers in which the polymer composition is different with respect to the thickness direction of the container wall but substantially identical with respect to the plane direction and each of the polymer layers is continuous with respect to the plane direction, in such a manner that a tapered projection protruding outwardly in the thickness direction of the container wall is formed in the joint portion so that each of the polymer layers is substantially continuous in this joint portion. This improved container can easily be prepared according to the customary blow molding technique by using a pair of split molds having such a configuration that a tapered concave groove is formed in the section pinching off the parison when the molds are registered with each other.
