Abstract: A tire comprises a crown zone comprising a crown reinforcement surmounted radially on the outside by a tread formed from at least one material that is not a conductor of electricity, the crown reinforcement comprising a plurality of layers superposed on one another, each layer of the crown reinforcement comprising two ends in the circumferential direction, these two ends being joined together in an abutment region, the tread comprising a weld region circumferentially offset by an angle of 180 degrees with respect to the region at which the radially outermost layer of the crown reinforcement is superposed. The tire comprises at least one conducting strip positioned between the tread and the crown reinforcement and located circumferentially as to be positioned at equal angular distances between the tread weld region and the region at which the radially outermost reinforcing layer is butted together, these two regions being diametrically opposite.

Abstract: The collapse of conductive terminal rubber strips is prevented while a conductive terminal portion is formed stably to have an exposure width of 5 mm or less. The conductive terminal portion is formed by continuously winding the terminal strips formed of a conductive rubber toward an outward radial direction from a tread conductive layer to a tread ground contacting surface. The terminal strip is sequentially wound while shifting a position at a pitch D of a distance in a tire axial direction while the terminal strip goes around such that the conductive terminal portion constitutes a trapezoidal cross section in which a width (Wa) of an upper base is smaller than a width (Ws) of the terminal strip and a width (Wb) of a lower base is larger than the width (Ws) of the terminal strip. The width (Wa) of the upper base is within a range of between 2 mm and 5 mm.

Abstract: The invention relates to a tire having a rubber tread of a circumferentially zoned tread. The tread zones are comprised of three circumferential load bearing zones, with each zone containing a portion of the running surface of the tread, comprised of an intermedial rubber zone positioned between and extending beneath two stratified lateral tread rubber zones. The tread configuration contains an underlying carbon black-rich base rubber layer. The lateral tread rubber zones are therefore spaced apart from each other with the intermedial tread zone therebetween and also spaced apart from the tread base rubber layer with the intermedial tread zone therebetween. The intermedial and stratified lateral zones are comprised of rubber compositions having differentiated rebound physical properties.
