    摘要: A method for protecting high temperature stainless steel from coking and corrosion at elevated temperatures in corrosive environments, such as during ethylene production, by coating the stainless steel with an overlay coating of MCrAlX in which M is nickel, cobalt, iron or a mixture thereof and X is yttrium, hafnium, zirconium, lanthanum or combination thereof. The overlay coating and stainless steel substrate are heat-treated to metallurgically bond the overlay coating to the substrate and to form a multiphased microstructure. The overlay coating preferably is aluminized by depositing a layer of aluminum thereon and subjecting the resulting coating to oxidation to form an alumina surface layer. An intermediary aluminum-containing diffusion coating may be deposited directly onto the stainless steel substrate prior to deposition of the overlay coating to form a protective interlayer between the stainless steel substrate and overlay coating.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for extending a primer to produce a single stranded polydeoxynucleotide that has two or more defined sequences. A combination is provided which comprises a template polynucleotide, a blocker polynucleotide, a primer polynucleotide and a polynucleotide Q. The template polynucleotide has three sequences T1, T2 and T3 wherein T1 is non-contiguous and 3' of T3 and wherein the 5' end of T3 is 5' of the 5' end of T2. The primer polynucleotide has a second defined sequence at its 3' end that is hybridizable with T1. The blocker polynucleotide has sequence B1 that is hybridizable with T3. Polynucleotide Q has sequences S1 and S2 wherein S1 is 3' of S2 and homologous with T2 and S2 is complementary to a first defined sequence that is to be introduced at the 3' end of the polynucleotide primer, when it is extended during the method of the invention. Polynucleotide Q is either attached to the 5' end of the blocker polynucleotide or present as a separate reagent. The primer is extended along the template polynucleotide and along at least a portion of sequence T2 and thereafter along the polynucleotide Q to give a single stranded polynucleotide having two or more defined sequences.

    摘要: Compounds within the scope of the present invention have a Formula 1 or a salt or prodrug thereof, where ring A is selected from cycloaliphatic; ring B is aryl; R1 is selected from (C1-C10)alkyl, (C3-C10)cycloalkyl, halo, aryl, and heteroaryl; and R2 and R3 are independently selected from hydrogen and (C1-C6)alkyl. Disclosed compounds may have an IRAK4 IC50 of from 0.003 μM to 3.7 μM; a TAK1 IC50 of from 0.008 μM to 132 μM; and/or an IRAK4/TAK1 selectivity of from 1 to 450. Particular compounds may have an IRAK4/TAK1 selectivity of from 100 to 500. Disclosed compositions may be formulated as pharmaceutical compositions. A method for using the compounds and/or compositions also are disclosed. The method may comprise administering to a subject an effective amount of a compound within the scope of the present invention, particularly to selectively inhibit IRAK 1 and/or IRAK4 over TAK1.

    摘要: Loop-shaped primer used in nucleic acid amplification is an oligonucleotide with 3-20 bases in both 3′ and 5′ ends which can be combined together to form a double-strand under appropriate conditions, resulting in the primer forming a stem-loop structure. The double-stranded structure is opened and the stem-loop structure dissolves when the primer recognizes and hybridizes with the target sequence. If the target sequence is not present the primer can form a stem-loop structure automatically by self-annealing. The primer can comprise a universal tag sequence or not. Together with universal tag sequence primer the primer comprising the universal tag sequence can be used for a second round of amplification. The primer has high specificity and does not form a primer dimmer. The primer is easy to design and is suitable for measuring gene expression and detecting features of nucleic acids such as SNPs and rare mutations.
