Abstract:
A user terminal, user terminal chipset, and method including receiving, from a cellular base station included in a cellular radio access network (RAN), parameters for an offload from the cellular RAN to a wireless local area network (LAN), and performs an access network selection between the cellular RAN and the wireless LAN based on the parameters. Parameters include a first threshold to be compared with a cellular signal strength of the cellular RAN, a second threshold to be compared with a wireless LAN signal strength of the wireless LAN, and a third threshold to be compared with a load of the wireless LAN. Performing the access network selection includes selecting the wireless LAN to perform the offload, in response to the cellular signal strength being lower than the first threshold, the wireless LAN signal strength being higher than the second threshold, and the load being lower than the third threshold.
Abstract:
A communication control method is used in a mobile communication system that supports cellular communication in which a data path passes through a core network, and D2D communication that is direct device-to-device communication in which a data path does not pass through the core network. The communication control method comprises: a transmission step of transmitting, by a first user terminal that camps on a cell of a first base station, a discovery-use signal related to the discovery of a proximal terminal be capable of a communication partner of the D2D communication; and a notification step of notifying, by a communication device, the first base station of interference information related to the received discovery-use signal in response to the communication device receiving the discovery-use signal.
Abstract:
A radio base station according to an embodiment is a radio base station configured to use a specific frequency band which includes a plurality of component carriers having a predetermined bandwidth and which is allowed to be utilized by a plurality of network operators or a plurality of communication systems. The radio base station comprises: a controller configured to select, from among the plurality of component carriers, a target component carrier in which a reference signal used in the specific frequency band should be transmitted; and a transmitter configured to use the target component carrier to transmit the reference signal. The controller selects, as the target component carrier, a first component carrier that satisfies a first condition. The first condition is that an interference power amount falls below a predetermined threshold value.
Abstract:
A base station performs radio communication with a plurality of terminals in a specific frequency band in which frequency sharing among a plurality of communication operators and a plurality of radio communication systems is permitted. Part of a frequency region within the specific frequency band is set as a control-only region. The base station determines, by the carrier-sense in the specific frequency band, a data region for user data transmission, from a frequency region different from the part of the frequency region within the specific frequency band. The base station transmits or receives, in a control region R1, terminal-specific data control information for individually controlling a user data transmission of each terminal within the data region.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal is used in a mobile communication system including a general cell supporting a broadcast distribution of MBMS data and a specific cell not supporting a broadcast distribution of MBMS data. The mobile terminal has a controller that executes an autonomous search that searches for a specific cell to which the mobile terminal is allowed to connect. In an idle state, the controller halts the autonomous search when the user terminal receives the MBMS data from the general cell.
Abstract:
A communication control method applied to a mobile communication system including a user terminal capable of storing an MDT measurement log related to a radio environment measured based on an instruction from a network and a connection establishment failure log related to a failure of RRC connection establishment procedure with the network, the method includes the steps of: reserving a dedicated memory area for storing the connection establishment failure log, by the user terminal; and storing the connection establishment failure log in the dedicated memory area reserved in the reserving step, by the user terminal.
Abstract:
A user terminal in a mobile communication system supporting D2D communication that is direct device-to-device communication comprises a controller configured to establish a D2D communication bearer used for the direct D2D communication between the user terminal and other user terminal that is a partner terminal of the D2D communication, in accordance with a parameter that characterizes a property of D2D data transmitted by the D2D communication; and a transmitter configured to transmit the D2D data corresponding to the parameter via the D2D communication bearer depending on the parameter by using a radio resource assigned in accordance with the parameter.
Abstract:
A user terminal according to one aspect executes a first and second DRX operations. The first DRX operation is an operation of discontinuously monitoring first control information, which is transmitted from the base station via PDCCH, using a C-RNTI that uniquely identifies the user terminal in a cell of the base station. The second DRX operation is an operation of discontinuously monitoring second control information, which is transmitted from the base station via the PDCCH, using a group RNTI assigned to a terminal group including the user terminal. The user terminal monitors the first control information in a first ON duration for the first DRX operation, and monitors the second control information in a second ON duration for the second DRX operation, the second ON duration being independent of the first ON duration.
Abstract:
A mobile communication method in which a radio terminal connects to a network so as to perform a communication, comprises: a step in which the radio terminal detects an occurrence of a connection failure with the network in a connected state; and a step of sending a radio link failure (RLF) report regarding the detected connection failure, from the radio terminal to the network. In the step of sending the RLF report, the radio terminal sends time information, which is contained in the RLF report, for identifying a time of occurrence of the connection failure, to the network.
Abstract:
A UE 100-1 and a UE 200-2 perform D2D communication that is direct device to device communication. The UE 100-1 transmits a D2D termination preliminary notification indicating that termination of the D2D communication is wished to the UE 100-2 during the D2D communication. The UE 100-1 terminates the D2D communication after transmitting the D2D termination preliminary notification.
