摘要: There is provided a polarizing plate including (a) upper and lower substrates both composed of transparent material, (b) a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the upper and lower substrates, (c) a pair of adhesive layers formed on the upper and lower substrates, respectively, (d) first hard coat layers adhered to the upper and lower substrates, respectively, through the adhesive layers, (e) polarizing layers formed on the first hard coat layers, respectively, (f) a second hard coat layer formed on one of the polarizing layers, and (g) an electrically conductive layer having glare shield function and formed on the other of the polarizing layers. For instance, the electrically conductive layer is composed of a resin in which electrically conductive particles composed of In.sub.2 O.sub.3, SnO.sub.2, or a mixture of In.sub.2 O.sub.3 and SnO.sub.2 are scattered. The above-mentioned polarizing plate can have an electrically conductive, non-glare layer without carrying out additional steps such as vacuum evaporation or sputtering.

摘要: A receiver with an automatic receiving-station switching function for automatically switching a current receiving frequency from a reception frequency of a broadcast wave in reception to a reception frequency of a broadcast wave of another station, which is in a good reception condition, when a reception condition of the former broadcast wave becomes poor. After detecting deterioration of the reception condition of a received signal, when the level of a detected signal obtained by detecting the received signal is kept equal to or lower than a threshold value for a predetermined time or longer, the receiver sets muting means to a signal cutoff state to stop the audio output before the activation of the automatic receiving-station switching function. Even if the reception condition becomes poor, the muting means does not cut off an audio signal until the low level of the audio output in the currently receiving broadcasted program continues.

摘要: A refrigerant tube for use in heat exchangers comprises a flat aluminum tube having parallel refrigerant passages in its interior and comprising flat upper and lower walls and a plurality of reinforcing walls connected between the upper and lower walls, extending longitudinally of the tube and spaced apart from one another by a predetermined distance. The reinforcing walls are each formed with communication holes for causing the parallel refrigerant passages to communicate with one anther therethrough. The flat aluminum tube is prepared from upper and lower two aluminum sheets by bending opposite side edges of the lower aluminum sheet to a raised form and joining the bent edges to the respective side edges of the upper aluminum sheet which is flat so as to form a hollow portion. The reinforcing walls are formed by joining to the inner surface of the upper wall ridges projecting inward from the lower wall. The communication holes are formed by cutouts formed in the edges of the ridges at a predetermined spacing and having their openings closed with the upper wall.

摘要: An air suction system for an internal combustion engine in which one of two air intake port sections is provided with an air intake control valve to provide enhanced atomization and ensure a sufficient airflow. The air suction system, according to an embodiment of the invention, has a passage cross-section of a first injection passage portion which is greater in area than that of a second injection passage portion. The first and second injection passage portions respectively communicate with the first and second intake port sections. In a variation, the first and second injection passage portions have passage cross-sections adjacent to the first and second nozzle hole portions of smaller cross-sectional area, and the first and second injection passage portions have passage cross-sections adjacent the first and second intake port sections of larger cross-sectional area. In a further variation, the first and second injection passages are formed with taper-shaped configurations such that the area of each passage increases progressively in a direction toward the first and second intake ports and away from the air intake control valve.
