Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to bandwidth-efficient utilization of peak reduction tone resource are provided. An example method of wireless communications performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station in a first subband, a resource allocation indicating a set of transmission tones comprising a set of first data tones, a set of second data tones and a set of peak reduction tones (PRTs). The resource allocation can indicate the set of first data tones overlaps at least a portion of the set of PRTs at respective locations of a set of PRT locations and the set of second data tones is arranged at a set of data tone locations within a particular bandwidth. The UE can communicate, with the base station in a second subband, a data transmission using an outgoing waveform based at least in part on the resource allocation.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may interleave a signal, that is to be transmitted using discrete Fourier transform (DFT) spread orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM), and a negative of the signal to obtain an interleaved signal prior to performing a DFT on the interleaved signal. The UE may transmit a DFT-s-OFDM signal that is based at least in part on the interleaved signal. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A control resource region of an New Radio system slot structure may be separated into control resource sets, only some of which may be used for control transmissions. Aspects presented herein improve the efficient utilization of resources by enabling data transmission in resources of the DL control resource region and/or the UL control resource region. A UE receives an indication of a control resource set in a control resource region of a slot that may provide a control channel resource or a data channel resource and performs rate matching for data transmissions in the data channel based at least in part on the indication. In some examples, the transmitting device may maximize resource utilization by interleaving the reference signals, control signals, and/or data from a plurality of antenna ports while maintaining adequate spacing between each signal.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for adaptive resource management in new radio operations that adapts a numerology including a subcarrier spacing and/or cyclic prefix for a user equipment (UE) traveling at a high speed. A base station may transmit via a plurality of remote radio heads (RRH) to a user equipment (UE) is moving along a high speed track. The base station may transmit, in a first time period, using a first numerology including a first subcarrier spacing and a first cyclic prefix ratio, a first transmission for the UE. The base station may transmit, in a subsequent time period, using a second numerology including a second subcarrier spacing and a second cyclic prefix ratio, a second transmission for the UE. At least one of the second subcarrier spacing is different than the first subcarrier spacing or the second cyclic prefix ratio is different than the first cyclic prefix ratio.
