Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for a user equipment (UE) to transmit at least two hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) bits. At least one transport block is received on each of at least two configured cells. At least two HARQ-ACK bits are generated based on a number of the at least two configured cells and transmission modes for each of the at least two configured cells. The at least two HARQ-ACK bits are transmitted on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). A transmission mode supports one transport block or up to two transport blocks.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are provided for transmitting a DM RS associated with a PUSCH in a communication system. The method includes allocating a CS for a DM RS of a UE, and an OCC; transmitting DCI including a plurality of IEs over PDCCHs, where each of the plurality of IEs respectively includes information indicating the CS for the DM RS and the OCC; and receiving, from the UE, the DM RS associated with the PUSCH. A DM-RS sequence is acquired based on the CS for the DM RS and the OCC identified from the information indicating the CS for the DM RS and the OCC, the CS is a value for determining a cyclic shift of a reference sequence, and the CS corresponds to a predetermined OCC, and the information indicating the CS for the DM RS and the OCC consists of 3 bits.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for receiving a Scheduling Assignment (SA) by a User Equipment (UE) in a communication system in which a base station transmits the SA including at least one Information Element (IE). The method includes receiving the SA; identifying if a first IE included in the received SA is set with a first predetermined value and at least one bit in a second IE included in the received SA is set with a second predetermined value; and performing an action corresponding to a semi-persistent scheduling, if the first IE included in the received SA is set with the first predetermined value and the at least one bit in the second IE included in the received SA is set with the second predetermined value.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for transmitting Uplink Control Information (UCI) over a Physical Uplink Control CHannel (PUCCH) in a communication system. A method includes acquiring, by a user equipment (UE), information for configuration of a first PUCCH format and a second PUCCH format; selecting, by the UE, one of the first PUCCH format and the second PUCCH format, wherein the second PUCCH format is selected, by the UE, for multiple cells from an evolved Node B (eNB); generating, by the UE, UCI to be transmitted; encoding, by the UE, the UCI; performing, by the UE, a Fourier transform (FT) operation on the encoded UCI if the second PUCCH format is selected; performing, by the UE, an inverse Fourier transform (IFT) operation on the encoded UCI or on the Fourier transformed UCI; and transmitting, by the UE, the inverse Fourier transformed UCI using the selected PUCCH format.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for transmitting Uplink Control Information (UCI) over a Physical Uplink Control CHannel (PUCCH) in a communication system. A method includes acquiring, by a user equipment (UE), from an evolved Node B (eNB), information for a PUCCH format associated with multiple cells; generating, by the UE, UCI to be transmitted, the UCI being arranged in an order of an index of the multiple cells; encoding, by the UE, the UCI; performing, by the UE, a Fourier transform (FT) operation on the encoded UCI; performing, by the UE, an inverse Fourier transform (IFT) operation on the Fourier transformed UCI; and transmitting, by the UE, the inverse Fourier transformed UCI using the PUCCH format.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting, by a user equipment, a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) are provided. The method includes identifying power of the HARQ-ACK based on transmission power control information in first downlink control information; identifying a resource for transmission of the HARQ-ACK based on transmission power control information in second downlink control information with a downlink assignment index (DAI) value greater than 1; and transmitting the HARQ-ACK based on the resource.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for transmitting and receiving signaling, by a User Equipment (UE) with reduced processing capabilities, to conserve power are provided. A method for transmitting from a network a Physical Downlink Shared CHannel (PDSCH) to a first User Equipment (UE) from a first class of UEs or to a second UE from a second class of UEs, includes transmitting a PDSCH to the first UE using a first bandwidth unit; and transmitting a PDSCH to the second UE using a second bandwidth unit, wherein the second bandwidth unit is smaller than the first bandwidth unit.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for a User Equipment (UE) to receive control information. A downlink bandwidth and a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format to be monitored are identified. An aggregation level is identified based on the identified downlink bandwidth and the identified DCI format. Control information is received based on the identified aggregation level.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for a User Equipment (UE) to receive control information. A Downlink Control Information (DCI) format to be monitored is identified. A number of Enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (EPDCCH) candidates are identified based on the identified DCI format. Control information is received based on the identified number of EPDCCH candidates.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting data, acknowledgement information, and channel quality indicator (CQI) information. The method includes mapping a reference signal on a middle symbol in a slot; mapping the acknowledgement information on two symbols in the slot, which are directly adjacent to the middle symbol; mapping the CQI information and the data on symbols in the slot except for the middle symbol; and transmitting the reference signal, the acknowledgement information, the CQI information, and the data on the symbols.
