Abstract:
A window glass interlock device for a vehicle sliding door adapted to limit the opening of the sliding door when the window glass exceeds a prescribed opening degree, thereby preventing jamming of a passenger's body part between the sliding door and the vehicle body and minimizing injury to the passenger.
Abstract:
An on-demand power-operating door arrangement includes a supporting structure forming a passage, a door mounted to the supporting structure for closing the passage, and a power operator for operating the door. The power operator includes a motor, and a linkage operably connected to the motor and arranged to move the door to the passage-opening position. The door is manually swingable from a closed position to an open position independently of the linkage. The linkage and the door are returned from the door-opened position by respective springs, the spring which returns the door being weaker than the spring which returns the linkage.
Abstract:
A device for opening and closing a movable furniture part, in particular a drawer, door or shutter includes two trigger and drive units which each have a trigger member controllable by the action of an external force and a drive member coupled to the trigger member for moving the furniture part and one or more locking members for locking the furniture part in the closed position and release of the furniture part as a function of the action of an external force on one or more trigger members. The two trigger and drive units are coupled to one another synchronously and substantially without play by a path- and force-transmitting means.
Abstract:
Drive system for moving a load along a curved path. The drive system includes a base for mounting the drive system, the base having a curved track for guiding the load along the curved path. There is a load engaging mechanism mounted on the base for movement relative to the base, the load engaging mechanism being for moving the load. The load engaging mechanism has a curved track engaging roller for engaging the curved track. A linear drive mechanism including a linearly driven member is mounted on the base. The linearly driven member includes a driving pivot. A drive link is attached to the driving pivot at a drive force receiving end of the drive link, the drive link including a driven pivot at a drive force communicating end of the drive link. The driven pivot is attached to the load engaging mechanism, whereby linear motion of the driving pivot causes motion of the load along the curved path.
Abstract:
A brake assembly for locking a vertical or horizontal slidable sash window or door within a track of a frame is disclosed. The track has an elongated base and a pair of spaced apart, opposed sidewalls extending perpendicular from the base. Each sidewall has an inner shoulder spaced from and parallel to the base. The assembly has a slider body having a central opening extending from a front face of the body to a rear face of the body. The slider body has a side opening in each side of the slider body and being in communication with the central opening. A pair of brake members are provided wherein one brake member is slidably positioned within a respective one of the side openings. A cam has a rear face and a front face, and is adapted to receive a pivot member mounted on either the sash window or door. The cam is positioned in the central opening and is adapted to be rotatable within the opening by the pivot member. The cam, slider body and brake members include cooperative structure for converting rotary motion of the cam into radial movement of the brake members through the side openings and axial movement of the cam and slider body to lock the brake assembly within the track.
Abstract:
A passenger van is equipped with a drive mechanism for power operation of a slideable side door. The drive mechanism has a flexible drive member that travels in a closed loop which includes travel through a center track that supports and guides a hinge and roller assembly that is attached to the rear of the side door. The flexible drive member has a cogged portion that is driven by an electric motor to open and close the side door. The remaining portion is uncogged for economy o f manufacture and for releasing the flexible drive member from a clutch of the hinge and roller assembly to open the side door manually very easily. An electromagnetic clutch may also be included to reduce manual operating effort.
Abstract:
Method of detecting obstructions encountered by a motorized door. The method includes providing a signal processor with one or more signals indicative of a predetermined door trajectory profile for at least a segment of a stroke of the door, the door trajectory profile providing an ideal speed and/or position versus an elapsed time since a beginning of the segment of the stroke. A door position signal from a position encoder for the door is received into the signal processor. The method includes generating one or more signals indicative of the velocity and/or position of the door from the door position signal and generating a trajectory discrepancy signal based on the velocity and/or position in relation to the ideal speed and/or position. A motor control signal is generated based on the trajectory discrepancy signal and the motor control signal is connected to motor control circuits connected to drive the motor for the door. The method further includes performing one or more tests on either the trajectory discrepancy, the velocity of the door or the position of the door to determine whether the door has encountered an obstruction, in which case an obstruction detection signal is generated. The obstruction detection signal is for stopping the door.
Abstract:
A swivel-sliding door system for a vehicle having at least one door leaf situated in the vehicle wall in the closed state, and situated on the outside in front of the vehicle wall in the open state while leaving a door opening free. A drive as well as transverse and longitudinal guides are provided which enable a movement at the at least one door leaf transverse relative to the vehicle wall and along the vehicle wall, wherein the drive and the transverse and longitudinal guides are combined into one complete operating unit that can be mounted as one whole in the vehicle and be coupled to the at least one door leaf. The operating unit comprises a frame which, in assembled condition, is fixedly connected to the vehicle and an assembly which is movably provided in the frame and which comprises a drive motor for the door leaf movements. The frame may include a girder extending along the door opening and end flanges provided at the ends of the girder, wherein the movable assembly is movable along the end flanges, transversely to the vehicle wall and the girder, for executing a plug movement and wherein the drive motor effects both the plug movement and the longitudinal movement of the at least one door leaf along the vehicle wall.
Abstract:
The present application discloses automatic door assemblies and swing operators therefor. One aspect of the disclosure provides a swing door operator that has spring return breakout and from motor driven opening. Another aspect of the disclosure provides a swing door operator that is non-handed with spring return from either direction. Another aspect of the disclosure provides a swing door operator in which spring force is transmitted to the operator output member via a cam structure.
Abstract:
The door stopper of the present invention is of a construction such that a door contacting member fitted into a guide cylinder sunk vertically into the floor is allowed to be set in two positions, in a door contacting state in which it protrudes from the floor and in a housed state in which the top is substantially level with the floor. According to this construction, the floor is able to be substantially flat when the door stopper is not in use so that it does not become an obstruction to floor polishers and wheelchairs.
