Abstract:
In one aspect, a method related to data management. In addition, other method, system, and program product aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and/or text forming a part of the present application.
Abstract:
A video recording system includes an input unit and a video recording unit. The input unit generates a first operation signal upon receipt of a first trigger, and generates a second operation signal upon receipt of a second trigger. The video recording unit initiates operation in a first recording mode and records at a first frame rate in the first recording mode upon receipt of the first operation signal, and switches operation into a second recording mode and records in the second recording mode at a second frame rate that is different from the first frame rate upon receipt of the second operation signal when the video recording unit operates in the first recording mode.
Abstract:
There is provided an information processing apparatus, and a method to improve operability of the information processing apparatus when a user manages still image files in a case where a still image is extracted from a moving image file and stored as a still image file. In information processing apparatus and the method, a moving image file is selected from a plurality of moving image files and is reproduced, and a folder corresponding to the selected moving image file is created. A still image file is generated based on a video frame extracted from the moving image file being reproduced, and the generated still image file is stored into the created folder in association with the folder. When another moving image file is selected, another folder is newly created, and a still image file generated from the other moving image file being reproduced is stored into the other folder.
Abstract:
A recording apparatus, including: a photographing unit which picks up a moving picture and a still picture; a first encoder which encodes the moving picture and the still picture by a first encoding method; a second encoder which encodes the still picture by a second encoding method which is different from the first encoding method; and a recorder which records a file of the moving picture encoded by the first encoding method, a file of the still picture encoded by the first encoding method and a file of the still picture encoded by the second encoding method, on a recording medium, wherein both of the file of the still picture encoded by the first encoding method and the file of the still picture encoded by the second encoding method, are based on one still picture picked up with a single photographing.
Abstract:
For a media-editing application, some embodiments provide a method for creating a media presentation that combines several media clips. During an editing process to define a particular media project, the method receives a first set of edits to the particular media project while the media-editing application is in a first resolution mode that uses content stored at a first resolution to generate the particular media project. The method receives a selection of a user interface tool to modify the resolution mode. The method switches to a second resolution mode that uses content stored at a second resolution to generate the particular media project without interrupting the editing process. After switching to the second resolution mode, the method receives a second set of edits to the same particular media project during the same editing process to define the particular media project.
Abstract:
An image file generation device includes: an image file generation unit that generates an image file having stored therein a plurality of sets of image data obtained in a batch via an image sensor; and an image recording unit that records the image file into a storage medium, wherein: if the image file generation unit determines that an image file-splitting condition has been satisfied while the batch of image data is being obtained via the image sensor, the image file generation unit ends image data storage into the current image file and starts image data storage into a new image file.

Abstract:
An image capturing apparatus is disclosed. An image capturing section captures an image of light and obtains image data. An image display section displays the image data obtained by the image capturing section with a predetermined number of pixels. A storage section stores the image data obtained by the image capturing section. An interface section is connectable to an external storage device. A control section causes the image data obtained by the image capturing section to be stored to the external storage device connected through the interface section, when the captured image data are stored to the external storage device, the image data whose number of pixel exceeds the predetermined number of pixels to be converted into image data having the predetermined number of pixels, and the converted image data to be stored to the storage section.
Abstract:
A system and method for automatically determine whether an image captured by a digital camera should be stored in a raw format or a compressed format. After an image is captured by the digital camera, the digital camera checks certain sets of characteristics of the captured image to check the image quality. If the image quality falls within an acceptable range, then the digital camera saves the image in a compressed format. If the captured image does not fall within predetermined quality levels, then the captured image is save in raw format for later processing.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus that records image data on a detachable storage medium in a previously set recording format is provided. The apparatus sets the recording format of image data, and determines whether or not a storage medium attached to an attachment unit has a communication function that communicates with a different apparatus than the image processing apparatus. If it is determined that the storage medium has a communication function, and that the recording format of image data that can be transferred by the communication function does not match the recording format that has been set, the apparatus issues a warning.
