摘要: A peripheral surface-emitting linear light guide is provided with an optical fiber including a core, an outer peripheral surface of which is exposed from a cladding at one end in a longitudinal direction, and a light-scattering member that covers an entire periphery of the outer peripheral surface of the core in an exposed portion over a predetermined axial length range. The light emitted from the outer peripheral surface of the core is scattered and radiated by the light-scattering member. The light-scattering member includes a light transmissive base material having a higher refractive index than the core and light-scattering particles that scatter the light incident on the base material, and the light-scattering particles are dispersed and mixed in a certain proportion throughout the base material. At least a portion of the light-scattering member in the longitudinal direction is an increasing portion whose thickness increases gradually toward a tip side of the core.

摘要: A load sensor is provided with a pressure-receiving core made of a magnetostrictive material on which a load to be detected acts, a non-pressure-receiving core made of a magnetic material concentrically arranged with the pressure-receiving core and on which the load to be detected does not act, a detection coil that generates a magnetic flux that passes through the pressure-receiving core by energizing, and a reference coil that, when energized, generates a magnetic flux that does not pass through the pressure-receiving core but passes through the non-pressure-receiving core.

摘要: As for a plurality of mass flow controllers, a parameter of a certain mass flow controller is adjusted under a certain control condition, and the adjusted parameter is related with the control condition and is stored in a server. Next, the data having the control condition common with each other is extracted from the data stored in the server, an initial value of the parameter is determined based on the extracted data, and the initial value of the parameter, which is thus determined, is related with the common control condition and is stored in the server. The mass flow controller is adjusted by using the initial value of the parameter determined in this way. Thereby, an adjustment of the mass flow controller can be completed in fewer procedures, and occurrence of fault in the adjustment of the mass flow controller can be prevented.

摘要: When a size is increased for mass production, an area of a pressurized surface is increased. This raised a problem in that insufficient load or the like causes a pressure during pressure sintering and a relative density of a thermoelectric conversion element to be likely to become insufficient. As a solution, there is provided a method for producing a thermoelectric conversion element, including: a step of mixing a skutterudite-type thermoelectric conversion material powder containing Sb and a sintering agent containing a compound including Mn and Sb, to obtain a mixture; and a step of sintering the mixture.

摘要: A position detection device is configured to detect a position of a moving member moving backward and forward in a predetermined moving direction. The position detection device is provided with a conductive detection member attached to the moving member, and an exciting coil and a detection coil that are arranged extending in the moving direction of the moving member and facing the conductive detection member. The conductive detection member includes a recessed portion recessed in a direction away from the exciting coil and the detection coil. A voltage is induced in the detection coil by a current flowing in the conductive detection member due to a magnetic field generated by the exciting coil, and a magnitude of the voltage induced in the detection coil varies with a position of the recessed portion relative to the detection coil. A vehicle steering device is provided with a shaft, a housing, and the position detection device.
