摘要: The present invention relates generally to variant fluorescent proteins, and more specifically to monomeric and dimeric forms of Anthozoan fluorescent proteins. In one aspect, the present invention provides variants of fluorescent proteins, where the variants have a reduced propensity to tetramerize, and form dimeric or monomeric structures. The invention also relates to methods of making and using such fluorescent protein monomers and dimers.

摘要: The present invention relates to compositions for intradermal delivery of an antigenic or immunogenic agent in combination with one or more adjuvants. The immunogenic compositions of the invention comprise an antigenic or immunogenic agent and at least one adjuvant, which enhances the immune response to the antigenic or immunogenic agent, once delivered to the intradermal compartment of a subject's skin. The immunogenic compositions of the invention have enhanced efficacy as the adjuvants of the composition promote recruitment of antigen presenting cells to the intradermal compartment and thus enhance presentation and/or availability of the antigenic or immunogenic agent to the antigen presenting cells. The enhanced efficacy of the immunogenic compositions of the invention results in a therapeutically and/or prophylactically effective immune response after a single intradermal dose, with lower doses of adjuvant than conventionally used, achieving therapeutic efficacy from a single administration.

摘要: A semiconductor device includes a device body, a gate pad and a gate signal distribution runner. The device body includes a plurality of parallel cells and the gate pad is located on a top surface of the device body adjacent a corner of the device body. The gate signal distribution runner includes a peripheral gate signal distribution runner extending around the periphery of the device body from the gate pad and a diagonal gate signal distribution runner extending diagonally across the device body from the gate pad. The gate signal distribution runner provides a gate signal to a gate of each of the plurality of parallel cells.

摘要: The present invention relates to methods and devices for delivering one or more biologically active agents, particularly therapeutic agents, to the intradermal compartment of a subject's skin. The present invention provides an improved method of delivery of biologically active agents, such as therapeutic agents, through lymphatic vasculature accessed by intradermal delivery. Therapeutic agents to be delivered in accordance with the present invention include, but are not limited to, antineoplastic agents, chemotherapeutic agents, antibodies, antibiotics, anti-angiogenesis agents, anti-inflammatory agents, and immunotherapeutic agents. Therapeutic agents delivered in accordance with the present invention have improved bioavailability, including improved systemic distribution and improved delivery to particular tissues. Therapeutic agents delivered in accordance with the methods of the invention have an improved clinical utility and therapeutic efficacy relative to other drug delivery methods, including intraperitoneal, intramuscular and subcutaneous delivery. The methods of the present invention provide benefits and improvements over conventional drug delivery methods including dose sparing, increased drug efficacy, reduced side effects, reduced metastatic potential and prolonged survival.

摘要: A method for defibrating waste paper and dispersing contained asphalt and wax contaminants within the fibers. The waste paper is initially pulped with water and the resulting stock is then contacted with a high pressure stream of steam having a velocity in the range of 1200 to 1600 ft./sec. The mixture of steam and stock is passed through a mixing tube under highly turbulent conditions to defibrate the waste paper and disperse any asphalt, waxes, and other contaminants throughout the separated fibers. The resulting stock can be used in papermaking processes, particularly for the production of paperboard products.
