Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for efficiently managing groups of stations (STAs) receiving simultaneous transmissions in a multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) scheme. One example method generally includes; for a first apparatus in a number of groups of apparatuses, allocating a first spatial stream position for each of at least one first group in the number of the groups; and transmitting a first unicast message to the first apparatus, wherein the first unicast message comprises an indication of the allocated spatial stream position for each of the at least one first group and, for each group in the number of the groups, an indication of a membership status, in the group, of the first apparatus.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for coordinating access to a shared wireless medium among multiple master devices operating on the same frequency band. In some implementations, master devices may contend for access to the shared medium during a medium reservation window (MRW). During the MRW, master devices may advertise their intent to reserve at least a portion of the shared medium for one or more timeslots within a subsequent medium utilization period. The reservation messages may be broadcast to other master devices in the vicinity to prevent other master devices from accessing the wireless medium during a reserved timeslot. In some implementations, the owner of a timeslot may share at least a portion of its timeslot with other master devices. For example, the timeslot owner may enable other master devices to utilize an unused portion of the wireless medium, such as unused channels, spatial streams, or time.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication is described herein. The method may include advertising support by a wireless device for a first bandwidth mode and a second bandwidth mode, wherein the first bandwidth mode utilizes a single channel and the second bandwidth mode utilizes channel bonding between a plurality of channels. The method may also include switching a current bandwidth mode of the wireless device from one of the bandwidth modes to the other of the bandwidth modes and adjusting a number of multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) spatial streams supported by the wireless device in response to the switching.

Abstract: In an aspect a transceiver is provided. The transceiver may include a plurality of local oscillator (LO) generators configured to generate a plurality of LO signals, respectively, for mixing with one or more communication signals. The transceiver also includes a distribution circuit. Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for starting an extended idle interval in an effort to avoid collisions with transmissions from hidden wireless nodes. One example apparatus generally includes a receiver and a processing system. The receiver is typically configured to receive a multi-user (MU) transmission comprising at least one packet for the apparatus. The processing system is typically configured to determine a checksum of the at least one packet and to start an idle interval associated with the apparatus after receiving the MU transmission if the at least one packet comprises a frame check sequence (FCS) that corresponds to the checksum, wherein the idle interval includes at least enough time for transmission of an acknowledgment (ACK) frame. For certain aspects, the idle interval may comprise an extended interframe space (EIFS).

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that may communicate a control aggregate frame from a first wireless device to a second wireless device. A first wireless device may form a control aggregate frame by aggregating a plurality of first control frames into the control aggregate frame. The control aggregate frame may include a single media access control (MAC) header, a plurality of first aggregation fields, each storing a control frame subtype for a corresponding one of the plurality of first control frames, and a plurality of first payload fields, each storing a corresponding one of the plurality of first control frames. After generating the control aggregate frame, the first wireless device may transmit it to the second wireless device.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for using different MAC addresses in frames for the same station to indicate how to process the frames. In this manner, frames for IEEE 802.11ac can carry information not present in legacy frames (e.g., frames according to IEEE 802.11a/n), but these frames may be interpreted by legacy devices in a legacy way. One example method generally includes receiving a first frame comprising an indication of a first MAC address and processing the received first frame based on the first MAC address. For certain aspects, the method further includes receiving a second frame comprising an indication of a second MAC address, wherein the second MAC address is different than the first address; and processing the received second frame based on the second MAC address, such that the processing of the second frame is different than the processing of the first frame.
